I'm tired of seeng people harassed by deadbeats who want to get ahead without working. Management is clueless, workers lie and back stab each other to cover their own sorry habits, and corporate calls their store the worst in the franchise. How bad is their service? Shop in Marion if you want to be safe!

I moved to Herrin a few years ago from rural Marion, and I have to say I love the Kroger in Herrin much more than the one in Marion, and MUCH more than the one in Carbondale. The Store set-up is much easier to navigate, the staff and and managers are friendly and have always been eager to assist me or my family, and most importantly they have the best deals with the kroger card. I visit my towns kroger nearly everyday, and don't intend to stop anytime soon. Keep up the good work Herrin Kroger!

Sounds like the issue here is not how customers are treated by employees or by the company, but how employees are treated by management or other employees. These people are dedicated workers or they would not be there for years and customers would not like them as much as they do. So maybe store management should get a clue about what they have.

Well I'm usually a fan of both Krogers but you know they are closing in larger cities because two grocery chains are much better & cheaper. I hope we get those stores here. I use both Herrin & Marion but I have to say years ago the pharmacy in Marion shorted me on pills for my surgery. Is was preparation pills if u get that they had to call the pharmacist at home or my surgery would had to be cancelled so I've never used the pharmacy again. I use another place that keeps pharmacists staffed & even managers are licensed & certified technicians. Here is my complaint on Marion. I asked for help locating a very simple item & the lady stocking didn't seem to want to help me. She even told the store manager what I was looking for he just stared at her & neither one helped me. Also the aisle she told me to look in I told her I was already there that could she show me or be more specific so I could look again but nope she just said well it used to be there. I don't normally ask anyone for help because customer service is really more of a luxury anywhere you go these days but to have two employees not help was simply rude. Then they only had three lanes open when they are obviously busy. Herrin doesn't always have what you need except the basics. I wished they kept it more stocked like Carbondale more of a variety. But honestly we are missing out by not getting the bigger food chains they have a wider variety for less cost. Herrin you have to watch for outdated foods but they sell their milk cheaper if u go through alot it's a pretty good deal. Though the other day my daughter's age was questioned for the free cookie because she's tall. The bakery in Marion & herrin isn't as nice. Carbondale is extremely nice and always offering to help without you asking. I prefer Sam's meat less fat, better quality & price overall is less but watch their dates too, I've had to show them entire shelves with expired meat on several occasions.
