Please help me understand what it means to be a Christian to some people. I have observed some serious non-Christian behaviors at work and our corporate big wigs only interest in covering the truth. Frequent liars, backstabbers, bullies, and "mean girl" mentalities to name a few. Our facility ousted the last administrator because he was gay & Jewish. Wasn't Jesus a Jew & isn't it illegal to discrim in the workplace these days? Then we hired a new admin that is gay(no judgements) & adulterous don & adon? Really, when did being a Christian not mean a certain code of conduct?

Yes, Jesus was a Jew who emptied Himself of His Divinity to become human and willingly offered Himself as an acceptable sacrifice under God's Law ( The Mosaic Covenant)to take away forever the sins of THE WORLD. There's a whole lot more to it, but once we personally recognize that we absolutely NEED God for our very lives and can't get NEAR Him on our own and are walking dead men spiritually, and accept Christ's sacrificial gift as our own, 2 things happen: 1) our sins past present and future are TAKEN AWAY forever( not just covered until the next time as under the Old Law) and 2) We are given NEW LIFE in Christ , as Jesus( who is the fullness of the Godhead comes to dwell in us via the Holy Spirit. That fact allows us to say"no" to ungodliness. Now does every Christian always listen to the Spirit within him? No, and neither do you. But that doesn't change the facts : you're a new creation in Christ. So our job as Christians is to cooperate with the Holy Spirit as He remolds us into the image of Christ ( a lifelong process to be sure).

My friend, Christianity is a whole lot more than a list of do's and don'ts. Most of us fall way short most of the time, but it doesn't change our status as members of the Family.

Unfortunately, saying you are a Christian today has no meaning, merit, morals or actions to back it up. The word Christian means to be Christ like in all endeavors. Does this mean that Christians are superior? No, because everyone makes mistakes, but naming yourself as a Christian is fashionable in today's culture. If a person is truly born again there should be a difference on the inside that eventually will affect all areas of their life.

Omg, I totally heard about the issues at that place. Real pity since some good workers there & residents ultimately suffer in the end. Lots of administrative turnover & a Professional Princess Marketing/Lias something or another.

Will pray for all of you and the residents that must not be receiving the best care possible since so much more than them is going on in that place. Thank God for those dedicated & compassionate honest hard working people out there doing their jobs! God Bless.

Unfortunately that's what the world has come too. I work with alot of people who claim to be Christian. It just seems like they are the first ones to to judge or to treat someone in a disrespectful manner.

I have found that to be true as well, yet they are the same people that attempt to present themselves as such "good Christians". They give those of us that really are good, decent Christians a bad name.

unfortunately very fashionable for some & wouldn't that be a form of taking Lord's name in vein? It seems like exploitation.

The LTC facility that CLAIMS to be Christian oriented is the biggest farce. They may have prayer at their morning meetings(did at one time)but as soon as they are out of the meeting you wouldn't know they had just prayed. There is so much deceit going on not only in that facility, but others as well. I have said it before and I will say it again, when a CORPORATION has multiple facilities not one of them is run properly...it doesn't matter if they claim to be not-for-profit or for profit...only one thing matters...MONEY, MONEY, MONEY. If this certain facility loses it's certification then CHI(corporate name)will have the rest of their facilities working hard to maintain a good reputation. Sad to say but corporate will blame the workers for any failures, when it is corporate who ignores what is going on under their own noses. Maybe MR.Phillipi(sp)needs to get HIS butt canned. The employees need to write many letters to the board members and inform them of the problems. By-pass Phillipi and the rest.
