Did anyone watch the council meeting last night. Some lady got up and talked about a class action lawsuit against the city, she made a fool of herself.I wondered why she was so arrogant and then she said it, she is from Chicago. I wish all the idiots from Chicago would stay away from Southern Illinois.

Ignorance is bliss...I'm glad you're happy and can laugh out loud.

How dare a person from up north, probably with a relatively high I.Q., attend a city council meeting and express an opinion.

If we want to live with incestual bliss and in a historically depressed area, that is OUR business.

I know !...I know....the word "incestual" isn't in the dictionary...if you will forgive me, I will replace it with "incestuous".

They were loaded for bear last night... note the attempts at distraction and intimidation. Kudos to the lady for standing up

Thank you for agreeing with me. I forgot everyone from Chicago does have a high I.Q.,hence the gun ban in the murder capital of the United States.

Yeah she really made difference last night. I bet the mayor was up all night worrying about her class action lawsuit.

Uhhhh....how can I say this ?

Just because I'm writing facetiously, it doesn't mean I agree with you.

The lady's arguments didn't make any difference of course, but the rhetorical tactics were quite predictable. So was the guy who presented his accolades to the politburo. The point is-why would anybody in their right mind ever bother?

Whenever I see the abbreviation LOL, I think of potheads.

It seems the most mundane thing is HILLARIOUSLY funny to them and often depend on laugh tracks to signal when to laugh while watching situation comedies on tv.

Someone close to us was/is a pothead and insisted my wife and I see the movie "Ghostbusters".

We did and walked out half way through the show.

One of the flakiest movies we had ever seen, at the time.

Uhhhhh....do you smoke weed ?

Yes I do. Whenever I hear of mtpockets I think of someone on welfare. Are you on welfare?

The difference is the smoothness. I don't smoke or even know the city hall crowd. And I don't use coke.

You obviously were not present during the meeting. This woman had no argument, nor reasonable questions relative to the water theft/lawsuit. The fact of the matter is, Marion residents paid for a service that they received. If you purchased gasoline from Huck's and later learned that an employee stole from the store, would that entitle you a refund for high gas prices?

"If you purchased gasoline from Huck's and later learned that an employee stole from the store, would that entitle you a refund for high gas prices?"

Do you even realize the stupidity of asking such a ridiculous question ?

Are you implying that citizens of Marion should pay increased water bills because an employee stole ( probably far more than ) a half million $$ and was signed off by the mayor ?
