Perhaps the Merit Board should raise the standards all around with regards to the losers they hire for the police department.

And of course they need to stop the nepotism that runs rampant - just look at the fire department roster and see who is related to whom.

If the people appointed to this board had even a shred of decency they would resign in shame.

But alas they will not. Decades old friendships they have with the old Zombie who appointed them.

Shameful.
