What local cdl jobs are available at pepsi, what do they entail and what is the pay?

Other local cdl jobs in the area?

Thank you

Do NOT go drive for Pepsi. They will work you on commission. Not saying Peosi is bad but they like to mess around with your totals. They use to pay for a cdl now it's all up to you to obtain one. If you want a cdl position with Pepsi go to Crisp Containers. They actually get paid for what they do. It's the bottling plant on Skyline Dr. Beelman Trucking hires a lot as well. Good Luck with your search!

They require you be 21 and they train you on the job. They are usually always hiring drivers. You'll want to talk to a guy named Jim Brant. Old guy kinda rude but he's the man in charge.

If you have experience pulling a dump trailer, Sierra Bravo in Sesser is looking for a couple of local drivers. TZ builders, Tom Zeller is always lookimg for drivers too. He pays good but hard to deal with.

I'm not real sure what they pay drivers. I worked there as a palletizer for about 2 yrs but never did move to driving. Like Poor said in the bottom statement Zeller is ALWAYS looking for drivers! He is a good person to get in with. Also if your familiar with the Internet go to indeed.com look up cdl jobs in whatever town you want.

Cool, I'll definitely check out zeller. I only have 2 months experience driving and that was over the road. Maybe he'll consider a newbie. Is construneeded experience needed?

Appreciate it guys, sorry for all of my questions.

Zeller will hire without construction experience as long as you can drive. The only bad thing is you only get paid for hours on the job site. Sometimes you will put in an hour each way so you may loose two hors of pay a day.

He also expects you to hand wash and wax (NO pressure washer) truck once a week on your own time. I never could make him happy with my detailing job, so I just paid one of his summer help kids $50 to come in on Saturday and do it.

I just could not handle getting cussed out. He is in a bad mood 2-3 days a week and when he is you can do nothing right.

We were on a dirt job and he had be back in, it was soft and I told him I would get stuck. He still had me back in and I got stuck. He cussed me out in front of numerous people and sent me home for the day with no pay.

Another day we were moving dirt, he hit a water main with the Excavatorand got mad at all three drivers. He again yelled, svreamed and cussed us and sent all three home for the day with no pay.

That's when I decided to go somewhere else.

Good luck in finding something!

Wow, sounds pretty bad. I suppose it's better than nothing at the moment but I don't blame you for getting out of there with the stuff you have said.

What's worse, driving for pepsi or zeller? Hand wash truck without pay, no pay driving to and from job site, sent home days without pay, getting constantley yelled out.... Could pepsi actually be worse?

Something is wrong when a guy has only 3 trucks and pays $15.00 an hour (which is very good starting pay) and can't keep help.

With all that bad said, would you still recommend i give it a try? Perhaps I'll stop by tomorrow or Monday.
So what are you usually doing with Zeller. Loads you up with dirt or gravel, drive to the job site, dump and reapeat?

Yes, it's worth a shot. You mainly do dirt jobs and occasionally haul rock. You may be able to put up with him. When he is in a good mood, he is good to work for and like I mentioned he starts at $15 per hour. I'm just not good at taking an butt chewing in front of people (thats what a office is for) don't like the cussing.

I just wanted to give you my opinion.

He has really nice driving trucks and keeps them legal! That's always a plus.

Cool I'll give it a shot and see if he'll take me. I'm 21, for some reason I have a feeling his insurance will require 23. How many hours were you getting a week (paid).
