Therapist's license suspended

Cedar Rapids marriage and family therapist Timothy Ruppert said he plans to take time to evaluate his options after his license was suspended by a state board.

Why was that Dr. Ruppert license suspended? What did he do? Does anybody know him?

He was charged with having sex with a patient.

My ex took my 5 year old girls to this guy and a judge actually faulted me for withdrawing my girls from his care. Figure that one out..........

I hope you got your problems ironed out. It sounds like the judge, the dirt bag therapist and your husband were all in cahoots. I'm not surprised. Hopefully your kids are okay.

Not to be judgmental but no one really knows his side of the story, i wouldn't recommend listening to alot of news and gossip these days, you know how untruthful they are. Dr.Ruppert has been my therapist for the past seven years, and he has always been there for me. He was only suspended, and he was not criminally charged.

in resp to amanda... there is no criminal charge for having sex with a patient, but it is a moral thing. those are the grounds they jerking his license. im sure he's a great guy, but what he did hurt a lot of people, including the patients he was trying to help. that's why they don't want him practicing anymore.
