Take a look at these two websites:

1. Bias at Marine City with Coaches and Coaches Kids

and

2. EVERYONE speaking out that Anthony Scarcelli does NOT deserve the award as Times Herald Player of the Year:

Fans of the Player of the Year award from the Times Herald need to be aware of the following things:

1. It has already been predetermined that Anthony Scarcelli will be the award winner for the 2011 season...No matter what!...We have bias from the staff of the Times Herald to thank for this, in addition to nepotism from Marine City coach Tony Scarcelli.

2. Marine City coach Tony Scarcelli has already specifically said that Brendan Kay will not be the only player in Marine City history to win the award two times. Scarcelli specifically said his son will win two times, no matter who he has to pay off! The reason for this is because Scarcelli is trying to get his son into either MSU or Cincinnati. Scholarships to those schools would probably be valued at close to $100,000. With Tony Scarcelli and those around him, it is all about money and greed.

3. In the Times Herald poll voting, Anthony Scarcelli was selected only #8 as the Best Player in the Blue Water Area.

Statistically, a player named Ryan Fabbri from Cros-Lex was superior to Anthony Scarcelli in every way measurable.

4. When the #8 player ends up winning the award, you KNOW bias was involved.

5. Anthony Scarcelli is not a humble person, has no humility, and is not a good leader.

Proof of this can be seen by taking a look at how Anthony Scarcelli always focuses on himself when being interviewed. Anthony Scarcelli NEVER shares ANY glory with any of his peers such as Jamel Abrams -- a player that virtually Marine City football fan agrees is much better than Anthony Scarcelli.

6. Anthony Scarcelli is a poor leader off the field, to the point that he is literally a convicted criminal.

Proof of this can be seen by taking into consideration two facts:

Anthony Scarcelli has been involved with drugs/ alcohol/property-damage in ways that caused him to become ineligible for parts of sports seasons. Even this football season Anthony Scarcelli was penalized. However, the penality that Anthony received was far less than what two other team members received, even though it was Anthony Scarcelli's second offense! Obviously the bias and nepotism of Marine City coach Tony Scarcelli was fully revealed here.

7. Anthony Scarcelli has already been selected by Tony Scarcelli as a captain of the 2011 Marine City football team.

This is an awful thing when you think about how Anthony Scarcelli is such a poor leader off the field.

Anthony Scarcelli should not be eligible to be captain until he is in college. The next type of fresh start Anthony Scarcelli should receive is in college. As a two-time criminal, Anthony Scarcelli has proven that he is not worthy of being a captain of a sports team due to the fact that he cannot be trusted to lead his peers. The only thing Anthony Scarcelli has proven is that he will lead his peers in the wrong directions in life.

I have lost all respect for the Times Herald Player of the Year award. The fact that men like Paul Costanzo and Jim Whymer would allow a junior underclassman that is a convicted criminal for off-the-field offenses to receive that award is awful. Jim Whymer, Paul Costanzo, Tony Scarcelli, and Anthony Scarcelli have FOREVER TARNISHED the Times Herald Player of the Year award.

Bottom Line: Anthony Scarcelli was given that award; he didn't earn it.

I can tell you for a FACT that Jamel is not happy that Scarcelli won the award. Coach Scarclli the slimeball did not nominate Jamel for player of the year just so his little brat could get it. They are not working out together, they are just at the same speed training. Jamel in no way thinks Scarcelli deserves the award. Face it Scarcelli was the second best player on the MC team. Anytime that little brat wants to prove he is good enough to be player of the year, I am sure that Jamel will be glad to put the pads on and hurt the twirp. Face it after giving 4 years of loyalty to that scum Scarcelli, That piece of sh** screwed him.

What do you know about any of this. Like it or not Precious little Scarcelli did not deserve this award. Daddy got it for him. What about possible scholarships for the Abrams kid that could be lost because Daddy Scarcelli screwed him. Yes there is more to the whole story than you can understand.

Everything Lansing Sexton Player and the others here said is true.

If a player is not voted as the best player on his team by his teammates, it makes absolutely no sense for him to be voted as best player in the area!

If you try to say otherwise, you are either biased or stupid.

Iíve been coaching football for many years. Iíve never once seen a situation like this one. The fact is the statistics of players prove none of the players from Marine City should have received that award for best player in the area. Ryan Fabbri from Cros-Lex had 2010 stats you only see once in a blue moon on any team in the state. Fabbri should have been voted as best player in the area by consensus; it should have been unanimous.

But the Times Herald newspaper editors really made idiots of themselves by picking Anthony Scarcelli. He was voted only #8 in the online poll and then his own teammates didnít even pick him as the Team MVP, not on Offense or on Defense! In other words, the MC players said Anthony Scarcelli was not the #1 player on the 2010 MC football team, and they also said he was not the #2 player on the 2010 MC football team!

It really is a shame the way the Times Herald newspaper editor named Jim Whymer voted for Anthony Scarcelli as best player in the area all because Scarcelli helped his son Joel get that high-paying job at the MC high school. That is a textbook definition of the words bias, unfairness, and sellout.

It also is a shame the way the Times Herald editor named Paul Costanzo wrote an article saying kids should forget about bias that exists at schools and instead focus on working hard in order to get better. My response to that would be: For what purpose? Why should a teenage kid waste his time and the time of his dad working hard for nothing?

Jamel Abrams was the best player on the MC team in 2010. He worked hard for four years on the varsity football team. No other MC player in history had ever spent four full years on varsity working hard. At the start of the season Jamel was ranked as one of the Top 50 best players in the state. His reward was having MC coaches not even nominate him as a candidate for the award of best player in the area. Why? It happened because those MC coaches knew it would take votes and attention away from the coaches kid.

The ultimate trump card that Jamel Abrams and Ryan Fabbri have is that Anthony Scarcelli was not even selected as best player on his own team by his own teammates. Everyone knows it is not possible for anyone to be the best player in the area when he wasnít even the best player on his own team!

This is why the Times Herald award for the upcoming 2011 season has no value at all. The Times Herald editors have already made it clear who is going to get the award in 2011. The only goal of the editors is to help Tony Scarcelli out financially by making it so his son Anthony can say he won the award of best player in the area two years in a row, something only one other player in history has done. The editors believe this will help Anthony Scarcelli get a more valuable scholarship someplace so he might be able to move from a small college to a mid college.

But, the BIG difference between Anthony Scarcelli and any other player in history is just like people have said: Only Anthony Scarcelli is cursed with being the only player in history to be given the award for best player in the area, while not even being voted as best player on his own team!

Iíd like to say that one part again, as inspiration to Jamel Abrams and Ryan Fabbri, and as a reminder to the Scarcelli family and the staff of the Times Herald:

The ultimate trump card that Jamel Abrams and Ryan Fabbri have is that Anthony Scarcelli was not even selected as best player on his own team by his own teammates. Everyone knows it is not possible for anyone to be the best player in the area when he wasnít even the best player on his own team!

Go to MCHS, ask for a transcript on Jamel Abrams. You will see he does not have a high enough core GPA or a high enough A.C.T. composet score to be elegable for a Division 1 or Divisoion 2 sport.

One you can't ask for just anyones transcripts from the school, and what does that have to do with the fact that precious little scarcelli was still only the second best player on MC team. Face it daddy got the award for him by screwing over Abrams.

Long Time Mariner,

I don't know what game you were watching, but based on what I saw of Anthony Scarcelli on a football field, he was no better than the #3 best athlete on the 2010 Marine City football team.

1. Jamel Abrams

2. Jaime Salisbury

3. Anthony Scarcelli

In terms of athleticism overall, not just on the football field, I would actually rank Salisbury #1. Look how he is only a junior at MC and already being talked about all over the state as one of the best Track/Field athletes.

I like Track & Field because it is a sport that doesn't let politics come in to play. If you throw a Shot Put further than the other guy, it means you are probably going to make a lot better lineman than him since you are essentially doing nothing other than using strength and balance to toss a heavy rock.

95% of the action for a big offensive tackle is within 5 yards of the line of scrimmage where speed doesn't matter for most teams anyways, since it is such a crowded environment. I feel bad for the kids of MC where their offensive tackles are stuck blocking cornerbacks, outside linebackers, and [gasp] safeties 15 yards away! An big lineman will always lose those battles in an open environment, since the safety and cornerback can run around him so easily.

You will end up with an offensive tackle being labeled as not being aggressive because he does poorly against worthless safeties that don't read their keys, even though he dominates division-1 defensive tackles and linebackers on his own side! That's one of the fundamental flaws with the Wing-T's wall of friendly blocking downfield.

My coach says that seeing a kid like Anthony Scarcelli and those other Wing-T guys shoot through the middle against crap teams and get long runs because of downfield blocks against dumb safeties that don't read their keys is one thing. But when you make it to the playoffs and those safeties and corners come up to stop the run, it is moments like that when you regret not having a bigger lineman that bench presses more and can throw a rock further.

Same thing with the Pole Vault (but more difficult to make an analogy. Thats why I mentioned Shot Put). The way Salisbury is already a well known athlete here in Lansing and accross the state is amazing!

To make it simple: We know who the record-breaking Jaime Salisbury is, but we don't know who Anthony Scarcelli is.

Anthony Scarcelli may be faster in a sprint than Salisbury, but in case you haven't noticed, Anthony Scarcelli has poor balance. This is the only explanation why he kept crashing into the QB when making those fakes.

I'd also like to mention that Anthony Scarcelli cost MC the game against Williamston. He should have acted as a defender when the ball was intercepted and run back for a TD, but he didn't.

Scarcelli cost MC the game...His reward was the Paul Costanzo award...I mean the Blue Water Area Best Athlete award (which came directly from Paul Costanzo, and only Paul Costanzo). I'll explain that in a minute.

I was reading the Times Herald website the other day.

An editor named Paul Costanzo was being ripped on by several people for giving the Blue Water Area Best Football Player award to Anthony Scarcelli, even though Scarcelli was not even voted as Team MVP on Offense or on Defense.

Obviously, that is the ultimate trump card fact that the Times Herald newspaper has no answer for.

Listen to some of the comments people said, all of them true.(Don't bother trying to find these, the Times Herald editor Costanzo deleted them). But here is what people said:

* Several people mentioned that senior editor Jim Whymer has a son named Joel that was hired at Marine City High School. MCHS is one of the highest paying school districts in the state. Once again people said that Joel Whymer was hired by MCHS all because of References from Tony Scarcelli and other MC coaches that work as teachers. Jim Whymer was thankful for this, so he gave the award to Anthony Scarcelli instead of a much more deserving Ryan Fabbri.

This apparently struck a never with editor Paul Costanzo, because he was writing IN ALL CAPS! Costanzo specifically said:

It was ME that gave the award to Anthony Scarcelli!!!!!

Then Paul Costanzo went on to criticize people for:

Whining and complaining about something that was 5 months old!

I couldn't believe he said that. Jamel Abrams worked for FOUR YEARS on varisty, so people like him DEFINITELY have a right to complain for the rest of their lives, otherwise the problem of bias won't be solved!

* Someone reminded Paul Costanzo that Scarcelli wasn't even chosed Team MVP by his own teammates, and yet coach Tony Scarcelli nominated his own son Anthony as the candidate for the award but not Jamel Abrams (since that would have taken votes away from his son).

But Costanzo replied by saying that there were no vote(s), plural, to take away. Costanzo specifically said that it was HE ALONE that decided who won the award for Best Player in the Blue Water Area. He said he didn't care who was chosen MVP on a team. He said he based his decisions on what he personally saw during the football year, and he also said he let Anthony Scarcelli being All-State influence his decision.

Do you MC people realize what that means? It means Anthony Scarcelli didn't win an award called Blue Water Area Player of the Year. It means he won an award called Paul Costanzo Limited Point of View Player of the Year.

Next page is on the way..........Sorry this is so long, but my friends and I are writing it on a bus trip.

* A man replied by saying that NO ONE PERSON should carry that much voting weight. He said that Costanzo represented a minority and was technically classified as a Statistical Outlier. This man also said that every other athlete in the area was at a disadvantage since Costanzo covered Marine City every week!

This literally meant that since Costanzo had never seen the majority of teams in the area, their nominees had ZERO chance of being chosen by him.

Another person replied by saying the MC kids told the MC coaches they wanted Abrams as their nominee. Instead Scarcelli and the MC coaches didn't listen and only chose the coaches kid. The same thing will happen next year, even if Salisbury has better numbers than Scarcelli.

* Another man replied by saying that the only reason Anthony Scarcelli was All-State was because of his daddy's presentation. The man explained it in the same way my coach does. He said that in Track or Wrestling if you win the state championship as an individual, you are All-State. But Football is different since your team is only allowed to have a certain number of All-State candidates and it is based entirely on a presentation that your coach makes for the candidates.

The man explained how all coach Scarcelli needed to do was say his kid had been on varsity since he was a freshman and he would instantly grab the attention of voters and get chosen All-State. This proved All-State in football has a lot to do with politics.

If Ryan Fabbri had coaches that put him on varsity since he was a freshman in order to cheat with honors, he would have been a high-school American. Paul Costanzo said he didn't care about any of that (now that he was proven wrong).

All I can say is that my friends and I writing right now on our bus trip feel SO BAD for you Marine City people. The biased newspaper editors are controlled by your coaches that get their kids hired and give favors. It really is like a soap opera.

.

One more thing:

Only a teacher/coach/atheltic director would have known about Jamel Abrams transcripts.

Which do you think it was that illegally looked without his permission?

Does anyone know if any Marine City teacher/coach/athletic director has a history of doing illegal things behind the back of players or parents? If so, that may be your guy. The next question is, does that person live in East China Township?
