We attended last year and it had the same "demographics" as Ports of call on a Saturday afternoon......Rude third world people cutting in line, no place to sit down etc. IF you want a lobster dinner go to Tranis and pay for one.

That's too bad. Until Janice Hahn is finally throw off the City Council nothing will improve in the area.

San Pedro - particularly Ports of Call - used to be a wonderful place to take the family to hang out for the day. The area was relatively clean and you could actually communicate with other visitors in English. Now you have dozens of anchor vermin running amok while their wetback parents huddle in oblivion over 5lb. plates of crayfish smothered in Tabasco sauce. Yet another nice place the illegal scum have inundated, thrashed and polluted. What a shame.

It's just part of the LA County Supervisors plan to dehumanize LA County and render it unworthy as a home for decent citizen families.

Now they have free baths and showers from the fountains in front of the cruise terminals under the bridge.

Go there anytime of day or night, and you see a bunch kids using it as a pool....31 millions dollars.

And yes, there are no white kids in the fountains.

I'm hard pressed to find more concentrated racist spew than has been posted here. Isn't there some sort of white supremacy forum where you can vent your venom and not bother the rest of us?

My family and I attend the Lobster Festival every year and while it sometimes suffers from the stress of success, find it to be well run and a good value. We enjoy meeting families with different heritages and cultures and find that the festival is just as diverse as 3rd St. Promenade for instance. Which is to say that Los Angeles is one of the most diverse cities on the planet.

If that's a problem for you, then move.

That is because you live in HC and don't have to deal with the 3rd world mentality in Peedro.

Well, Donnie boy, a white supremacy forum won't work for me on account'a I'm an American of Hispanic descent. Not to mention I'm the same color as most of the,..eh-hem, "people" I'm referring to.

I do, however, find myself thoroughly convinced you're full of sh1t because most of the slime that slithers under or jumps over fences to get here nowadays have very little interest in assimilating into American culture enough to have a tangible conversation with you or any other English speaking person. That is, unless, you're speaking to them in their language. Hablas Espanol, Donnie?

And finally, Ports of Call (San Pedro) as diverse as 3rd Street Promenade? That's like saying Tijuana and Bel Air share similar aesthetic qualities. HA! Though Santa Monica is indeed "diverse", that can be attributed to visitors and tourists from all over the world. Not the same concentrated patches of ignorant illegal, foreign-flag-waving filth that arrives 10 to a car in San Pedro. Night and day, man.

I'm proud to be an American and I plan to stay in the United States because of it. If only other people would stay in the country they're proud of; we wouldn't have to debate this subject, now would we?

If you want don't want to come to Lobsterfest because of the people there, Don't Come. Just means more Lobster for the rest of us. But you might as well move out of California because the Demographic at the Lobsterfest is probably no different than the Demographic of the State itself. Most Mexican illegal Aliens residing here are never going to be sent back to Mexico, That is just how it is. I don't have a problem with that because I would prefer leaving these people in place rather than some inhumane racist roundup, further damaging our soul as a nation. WE have been a lifeboat for these people and they appreciate it by working hard doing crappy jobs. Going forward, their children, attending American Schools WILL assimilate. Eventually those kids go to the ARmy or trade school then College and likely join the middle class or better...Same as all the previous immigrants classes. Should we do a better Job stopping Illegal Immigration at the Border? Of Course, but don't be a Sourpuss about lobsterfest because you don't like looking at Brown people having a good time...

All due respect, you were making a point and you blew it by stating that a roundup of illegals must be racist. It wouldn't be racist on Mexico's southern border, so it's not racist here. It's not about brown people; it's about the presence and behavior of illegals.

What a load of Cra*. People like you make me sick. You obviosly haven't lived
this situation. Come live in east Wilmington and get a big belly full. The cost
of a home is at least half the price of where you live now. Send your kids to an illegal
alien dominated school...let them pay that price. What a load of stuff you are. Come
Walk in my shoes! Then stand back and wring your hands and call me a racist. What a fool!

Its racist anywhere, whether its Guatamalans in Southern Mexico, gypsies in France or jews in Nazi Germany. Would I like them to do a better job of picking up after themselves and not play the music so loud? Yes, but thats not enough to justify any mass deportation.

So you can't justify deportation but you *can* justify the act if illegally breaking and entering into a country so long as they've "been here for a while". Really?

No, I don't think it's right they come here illegally, but they are here. That's the reality. While we should continue efforts to better secure the US Mexico Border, there is no need to change the current policies about who gets deported nor is realistic to think we will ever round up and deport the millions who are here illegally now. Eventually with time, these illegals and there families will assimilate. This perceived problem will eventually take care of itself.

Tell you what: let's just load as much illegal scum as possible onto a cargo ship and drop their useless asses a few miles into the pacific. You figure it would take half a day before their best swimmers start trickling back onto land, which would give the rest of us a few hours to enjoy a few hours without the dregs of our society cramping our style. Deal?
