STOP STICKS SHAME ON THE MARIETTA PD. Once you get behind a suspect and get the license plate # you have enough info to do an investigation and or an arrest. Ther is no reason to continue the chase. These hot headed adrenelin action junkies should work in hollywood not on our police forces. This time it was only the people who started the trouble who got hurt. But even that is not good . One is dead and the other is a quad probably for the rest of his life. Some of you neandertals might think they got what they deserved, but who died an elected you God. Also if they got what they deserved for wrong doing when are yo gonna get yours for the wrongs you are doing every day. Remember by the same judgement you put on others will be the same measure God will use on you. The lawmakers in ga enacted a law in 1986 that limits the amount of chase cars and measures that can be used to stop runaway cars. Good for them. It is referred to in police circles as due regard when are the police going to obey the same laws they are sworn to uphold.

07 jeeper you really want God to her you say to burn to death prisoners that sounds like some people in germany about sixty five yrs ago. I think your more dangerous than the people who have been apprehended. You are not afraid to have such thoughts and statements. Who is going to forgive you. Is there going to be someone salting you with fire if you donot repent.

Scott, I understand what you are saying... However, when I think of "Armed robbery suspects" the phrase "stolen car" also comes to mind (o.-) Other than that fact, however, I do have to agree with you.

I can't believe the simple minded dribble that you posted. What if the car was stolen? What if the tag had been stolen? You need to grow up and join the rest of us in reality. Blame the crooks who made a choice to commit a crime. They made a choice to run. They made a choice to try and evade a roadblock. The cops were just trying to do their jobs and apprehend criminals. Put the blame were it truly belongs.

Whatever happened to the 'bad guy' was brought on by himself. HE threw the first stone. Only problem, he hit himself in the head.

Armchair lawyers...a dime a dozen.

After you have worked in law enforcement for ever a decade and had to face these people, you will have a different attitude.

If the bad guy dies or causes harm to himsel as a result of his own actions, that's his/her problem.

No loss. No sorrow. No tears.

Remember all the people who were interviewed after 9/11?

All those who opposed the death penalty. That is, until their loved ones were murdered by crazy people one morning.

And 30 minutes later, they changed their attitude about the death penalty. Funny, how bringing reality to a situation into someone's life can change their outlook on things?

Clearly you have zero perspective as it relates to law enforcement or common sense. I think that it is a tradgedy that one person lost their life while another is likely crippled for life but they made their choice and now must live with the consequences.

The minute that you point a gun to commit a crime against another person you automatically loose your right easy treatment by the law. They proliferated their act by engaging in a high speed chase. They will all now live (or die) by their actions and its consequences.

Shame on you for attacking those that protect us from the rabble of society that prey on others.

To all of you complaining about the police pursuing these jerks, consider how YOU would feel if these guys had broken into YOUR home, tied up YOUR loved one and held a gun to their face, and taken YOUR money that you had worked hard your entire life for... THEN you criticize law enforcement for this job well done!
They had ample time, miles, and opportunity to pull over but they chose to run. Next time you are getting pulled over for speeding (or any other offense) think about running... Do you REALLY expect the police to just say, "Oh well, I guess he didn't want that ticket... and since he's running from a ticket for a minor offense, I doubt he has anything to hide! He's certainly no mennace to society! Let him go!" Better yet, if YOU were a cop and your JOB were to get idiots like this off the street, how would you take someone running from your authority?!
Bottom line, I'm sure it's difficult for you cynics to really imagine the terror experienced by the girl who was thrown on the floor, tied up, and told she would be shot if she didn't cooperate. But if you could really place yourself in that position... You would appreciate the poetic justice in the end result of this police chase.
One comment on this thread was made to the effect of "who died and made you God" what I want to know is who made these kids who robbed an innocent man of HIS money so important that they thought they had some sort of right to take what is certainly not theirs?!
If people would spend half as much time trying to make an honest living as they do trying to lie, cheat, and steal... this world would be a better place!
