EXCELLENT IDEA, MAY GET THE KIDS PUMPED UP TO GO TO SCHOOL ALSO, AND KEEP THEM FROM GETTING IN TROUBLE ON THE BUS.

Great. More tax dollars wasted. Can't the poor children do without media injections for an hour or so a day?

Whatever happened to having the kids just sit quietly on the bus, no radio, no fights, very little talking in a low voice.

Instead there are kids fighting, stabbing, kicking one another; yelling and screaming, while the driver is trying to concentrate on driving the bus safely. Hummmmm Sounds like a parenting problem to me. Bus drivers and school are not babysitters.

Yippy, finally a post with some intelligence behind it. It's way past time for parents to step up and teach their children respect for authority and each other. So many kids grow up thinking they automatically deserve respect from everyone. I got news for you, you have to earn respect. Hey parents try raising your own kids instead of letting everyone else do it. If you can't do this then don't have kids.

Gosh... why don't we just give them PlayStations and HDTV to keep them entertained. Let's put lots of sugary snacks and drinks on their for them too. Give me a break... either they behave like they are expected to or you throw them off and let Mom & Dad take them and pick them up. We are doing a great injustice to our children with these types of actions.

How did this suddenly turn into parenting issues? Good Grief, they are putting radio's on buses. Maybe this is a way to calm the kids. The less distractions for the bus drivers, the better.

I agree, it the kids do not behave , make the parents find transportation for them to and from school.

I just dont see how this is such a great big fuss. Most kids listen to the radio in parents cars right? So what is the difference ?

I actually think this sounds like a great idea since my bus driver was playing FM radio anyway and at least now I know my kids are hearing something that's more appropriate. Plus is it really so awful for kids to have fun on the bus? My kids love listening to music! Just one mom's opinion.

Um...why didn't they just take a contract with Sirius and play Radio Disney? I have no problem with kids listening to radio on the bus, but I want to know what they are playing before I let my kids hear. And there aren't ads for much of anything but Disney things on Radio Disney and I know it's a safe station. How about a radio that would just pick it up locally, huh? Maybe it will cut down on kids sneaking their cd players and hand held video game systems onto the bus, where they can get lost, broken, or stollen.

I AGREE 100%. Too much of our tax dollars being wasted on needless items. Kids are 3 to a seat and no air on the bus.....I think AC would be the better option.

How bout spend money on seat belts? Or better yet, as a Mom of a CCSD student they could put a little money in the band program. So far this year we've had to come up $1,500.00 out of pocket!!!!! We want our daughter to be involved, but we can't afford much more!

I drive a bus in cobb and with all windows down it still reached 118 degrees on that bus the first three weeks of school, so much for saving money we had unneccesary sicknesses heat related if they would just put ac on these buses. The northern states already have this go figure!!

yep, lets put 72 seat buckles on the bus with tempers flaring and see what happens, come on people get a clue!!! Besides that how do you propose we get 70+ children OUT of those seat belts if something happens, we are only one person!!!!!!!

Daily Horoscope for December 31

Leo

There's an erratic quality to the day, thanks to the Full Moon in emotional Cancer, combined with a lunar eclipse. Loved ones are likely to behave in ways you hadn't counted on. The only way to cope with this is to be as flexible as possible. Someone might change an arrangement at the eleventh hour so you have to think on your feet, or others may be determined to do their own thing even though it doesn't suit you. Get any arguments out of the way quickly so you can enjoy your New Year's Eve celebrations with a glad heart.
