I lived in Marietta for years and got the heck out. Too much traffic, too much crime, and too many dang buses that bring in all kind of problems. I moved out of Cobb and glad I did.

I totally agree with you this is A KKK town even the blacks here hate themselves and spend their lives attacking eachother so the KKK can sit back watch and watch these ignorant blacks take each other out.

Missin GA - We're contemplating a move from St. Louis to the Marietta area. You mentioned moving from Missouri. How does it compare?

Thanks

Don't move to Willow Point Subdivision. They are trying to pass a covenent that is against barking dogs, children making noise and using you garage for anything other than cars. It would be better to be in an apartment than that.

One of the first things I experienced when I moved to the area was a woman trying to sell me crack only a block from Marietta square. Everyone is free to make their own judgments, but that's what happened to me.

If the discussion is going that direction, I'll add that the woman who tried to sell me crack was black. All I did was stop at a stop sign, and she came running up to try and sell me dangerous drugs. Nobody, from anywhere in the world, wants that kind of thing in their community.

You asked; IS MARRIETA GA A BAD PLACE TO STAY AT?
Marietta is a great place to live, not stay. We don't want you to just stay here because when that happens we as taxpayers usually wind up paying for your life. Also, you need to stay away from certain areas. However, we do like our citizens to know how to spell and use proper English.
I agree.

Marietta is a great place to live in, that is if your talking about the north and east part of town. On the south side, there is a street (Favor Rd.) which is known for many drug dealers and felons. Robert Lee Osborne High School is on Favor Rd and it has alot of drug related history. Make sure to stay put when driving through the apartments complexes on Favor Rd. Austell Rd has it's shares of crime including Armed robberies and hit-and-runs.

I lived in marietta all my life and it is not as safe as you would think it is. Definetley stay out of Franklin rd, Delk rd, Austell rd to parts of Favor rd. Don't trust no one when it comes to money and expencive gadgets/electronics. Even though marietta is a suburb, don't underestimate it. Marietta Square is very safe as well as Atlanta St. Many subdivisions in marietta are okay except for some on sandtown rd and callaway rd. trailer parks mmm not so safe especially Pine Haven and other ones on atlanta rd

Relocated from Ohio to West Cobb 5 years ago and love it here. You need to use something like GreatSchools.com to figure out the good and bad parts of Marietta and E and W Cobb. You cannot really go with just a the city or the zip code. One may have a Marietta address and could either live in the worst apt in the county or the most beautiful, biggest mansion in the county. The higher the school ranking the better the area, then find a home in the desired high school district. It is deceiving because you can look at a beautiful big home in a really crappy area.....

Hi my husband and I would like to relocate to the Marietta area. Would there be an area we should not look into for housing? We live in upstate NY and need warmer climate. This winter has been brutal and we love to be outside alot. Weather conditions keep us indoors way to long. We are a family with two girls ages 12 and ten. I really want to feel safe and not have to worry about taking walks in the evenings. Would love to connect with a family who already lives there for some sound advise. Maybe even talk via phone. I appreciate any advise you can give us. Have a wonderful day.
