Can't say for sure, but this is likely the result of some 2nd amendment testers who carry long guns into stores. Now others who simply desire to open carry in a holster won't be able to enjoy that privilege on private property.

It is, after all,'private' property and if the owner of that private property decides, for whatever reason, that guns should not be allowed on the premises..., what's the problem exactly?

We are on the same page, shop owners can dictate what their rules are. However, some people don't possess common sense or they don't understand the rights of the shop owners; they push the limits by carrying long guns into shops...which frightens the other customers. It's easier for the shop owners to simply banish open carry than to compromise and ban long guns. So, places that were open carry neutral are now off-limits to peaceful pistol totters. This represents a net loss for all gun carriers and makes the average gun rights person look like a kook. These 'testers' got their answer, it was a fail. This is a drastic step backwards for the cause.

I hope someone remembers to tell the bad guys with guns that they are not allowed to carry into Kroger.

Criminals don't care. They want businesses to ban guns and their customers forced to comply by the rules. The crimal mind has no rules and does not value human life.

Since all the businesses that Moms claim to have had success whit have said they wil not post there stores, and say they will follow local and state laws. Nothing has actually changed except thast6 Moms think they have accomplished something when in fact they have not. I go into Starbucks with my piston on my hip openly visible all the time . No one cares. Al the business care about suit being left alone.

Then you should only go in stores that have a no firearms sign on the door. If it is not there and the state allows carrying in stores. they people are carryio9ng. Like Starbucks. Any one can carry there as they never posted their stores. Same thing with almost every store that seemingly went along weith Moms. Target for instance. They did not post their stores so in effect, nothing has changed

No one cares, Mitchie. Especially those who carry concealed. That little old Grandma you were behind at the McDonalds had a Charter Arms .44 Bulldog in her purse......legally. She was protected and we were spared your effete hysterics because you had no clue. See how that works?

It's a free country sewage mouth (despite your efforts to change that). That Grandma and every law abiding citizen has the God given right to self defense and the constitution protects their right to keep and bear arms for that purpose........not a damn thing you can do about it. The harder you push to restrict or abrogate freedom.........the more resolute the resistance becomes. The stores can do nothing but hurt their own business by alienating an entire section of the population. I will not patronize a company that attacks my freedom. Whether I'm carrying or not, they will not get my business. So even if you get companies to knuckle under to your draconian commie control it's still a free country and free people can take their business elsewhere. You lose.

Maybe you don't understand that all of the adults here are focused on your child molestation fantasies.....,

You don't understand that people like you would be asked questions

Then followed after the police were called

And the shot like ashtray when you decided to act like you do here....

I would be more than happy to pay for a one way ticket first class just to see you act like you do on topix in public here...

My driver will pick you up at the airport and take you to your 5,000 sq room at the Four Seasons and wait for you to freshen up and then drive you to any one of our five star restaurants

All expenses on me......

Let's see how long a child molester makes it in a 5 star resort or restaurant....

If your schedule is flexible we can even get you a ride on a private jet with some real liberals.....,

No Mitchie, he's not changing the focus. You're just the only one posting here who is focused on gratuitous profanity. You can't expect normal sane people to share the focus of a sick perverted mind like yours. Try again.......

Is that offer available to anyone? That sound like a dream, only down side is I would act like I always do, but my wife and little girl would be more then happy to take that, we love in Georgia, and would be happy just to live that lifestyle for a day in Atlanta,

I carry every day every where, and by doing this it's clear that I have never been diagnosed of being mentally ill, convicted of a felony, have been arrested on drug charges or suspicion of having a drug problem, been convicted or arrested for domestic violence, that's just a few thing you know right off the bat from me and from about 95% of the people that open carry, what do businesses know about the people that do not carry? You don't need a fire extinguisher all the time but you have one just I case, same principle applies for my gun!

Your obsessive need to carry everyday is a signal of mental illness, It is some sort of deep inward cry for help that manifests itself by making you think you will not be harmed if you are armed. Then the diagnosis may become a little more factual.
WOW! Since when is exercising a RIGHT an indication of a mental condition? Open carry is a normal condition in some places, and should be in others. There are laws which regulate some specific places where any carry is prohibited...so be it. And private property owners and their agents have every right to ban it on their property. So, there are already limits where one can carry; why should anybody pay any attention to YOUR personal opinion?

I prefer concealed carry, but I'm not going to even consider dictating what other FREE Americans should and shouldn't do. Taking measures to safeguard yourself and your loved ones is a PERSONAL decision. If carrying pepper spray is good-enough for you, I have no quarrel with it. If you have a strong faith in God, Vishnu, or Karma and think that's all you need, I respect that. But If I choose to keep a gun on my night stand, in my vehicle, and on my person, THAT is absolutely MY call and has nothing to do with your sensibilities or FEELINGS so get used to it, it's not changing. There are about six million toters in the U.S.; nothing you say or do has any relevance to that. Oh, one thing you could try. Hold your breath until we all stop carrying.
