Sweet stuff bakery may be good and all, but it is not worth all it's cracked up to be. Her cakes, if she gets them doen in time, are dry and extremely over priced. It's a small town, so she should take that into consideration. Not to mention how rude she is. Despite the horror stories I heard about her cakes, I still ordered on, BIG MISTAKE, it was terrible. Last time doing business there!

Finally, someone with enough guts to say the truth about that place. I have all the same complaints so it's not just a coincidence.

She doesn't pay her bills, either. Ask some of the local businesses.

I have the same complaints, too. We are just stuck with too few choices in Marianna, so people think we need to settle for less. Not so, there are bakeries in PC and Dothan. Or, get your kids together and make a homemade cake complete with homemade frosting. Tear them away from the video games and tv and do it. They'll enjoy it. Sweet stuff is just not worth it.

You make a very valid point. I think her cakes and other items are WONDERFUL - honestly, some of the best I've ever eaten. However, the service and attitude is terrible. I know of more than one wedding, one of which I was in, that the wedding cake was delivered just minutes before the ceremony was to take place. Guests were already there. No apologies, nothing. Very unreliable and that's sad because her bakery abilities are superb. Customer service, however, lacks greatly.

how does any of these places like this stay in business???
like all the old stores downtown, you see several people in, but they are not buying as much.
I can understand these business run by muslims. They make their family work the place, live in it.
like the old motle at the Grandridge exit. just 4 or 5 cars there at any giving time.
I bet them terroist are using it to laudry money. you could probably check their records out and they would have all their rooms occuppied every night

Yes, I'm sure there are Muslim terrorists in Grand Ridge, Florida. Maybe while they are laundering their money, they are eating eclairs from Sweet Stuff Bakery.

You are so right. Grand Ridge Muslims would definitely not venture too far away from their terrorism headquarters. What was I thinking?

All of my cakes and sweets come from Sweet Stuff. Plan ahead move your pick up or delivery time up 2 hours and you're good. The owner may not look friendly but when you smile at her she always smiles back.

I ordered a cake from her several years ago. I went the third time before I got my cake. Almost didn't make it in time for the party. Rudest people I have ever dealt with. I won't even go into the worst part. I have never been back. I now go to Dothan to order cakes.

These people including myself live in or near Marianna. However, if you have MiFi our post from your phone like I do, random city names show up, very strange.

My friend that works at ATT says it has to do with the wireless network system.

If anyone is interested, I also bake cakes on the side. I live in Jackson County. I have not been doing it very long, but I have done baby shower cakes, birthday cakes, groom's cakes and a wedding cake. I'd be interested in doing more, but I don't know how to get my name out there since I don't want to do it full time. If you know anyone that is interested, I can give you my email address. At Christmas, I also do pies and candies. I just wanted to let you know there are local alternatives.

Bought ONE cake from Sweetstuff. The icing tasted like Crisco and was just as greasy and the lady was so rude and grouchy it seemed her employees were afraid of her. Never again.

I used her a few times and realized that you had to tell her hours before your true deadline. I think the pastries and muffins are good and especially liked them when they "pedaled" them to the Hudnall Building. But for cakes, you can't beat Rolens Bakery in Dothan in my opinion...never have gone there to get a cake when it wasn't ready and wasn't delicious. And their Petits Fours are to die for!

Agree on Rolens if you have 2 hours to drive there and back. Definitely the best petit fours!
