I've voted for Steve every time his name was on the ballot. I'll be right there with him again this time. Wished I knew how to grab some political signs to support him.
It would be a lot more of a positive and productive action to grab Steve and put a fire under his A_S! I say one more time we can't do it for him he's got to get out and "POLITIC." I don't see anymore activity on his part this time than any of the other times. Please, Steve if you are wanting to be Superintendent show us how hard you will work for us. And right now that mean working for your election.

I talked to Mr. Benton about signs. He told me if anyone is interested they can e-mail him with address and he would get them out. sbentonrhs@yahoo.com

I have been to a few graduations in the past couple of days, and the procession of county officials sickens me! It seems they show up just to ensure everyone thinks they care about the school system.

Steve Benton needs to give up, he's not ever going to win. How can you be a principal at a school in Alabama and be running for superintendent for Jackson county? Does he really have Jackson county in his best interest? No. He's almost about to retire, seems like he wants to make the most money he can while in the D.R.O.P

Here is a man who for many years would not list all of his biological children in his campaign ads. It wasn't until this year that he decided to do so. What type of man can't even acknowledge his own children, but wants to be in charge of all of the children of Jackson county?

Miller isn't much better, we really have nobody to choose this election. I think we need a new policy that states once a teacher retires they can not run for school board. Mrs. Duffee finally is leaving, thankfully. Now, we need Mrs. Gardner to step down as well. Don't vote for Mrs. Oswald either. These women/men only want more money to be put in their pockets. They've already retired and should stay at home. They do not have the best interest for any of our children.

Mrs. Gardner and Mrs. Duffy are the only two on the board that has any sense and knowledge of what goes on in the school system and don't mind standing their ground. They are the only two that visit the schools and care about our students and employees. As far as Mr. Benton it goes both way for his children not listing him in any way. Mr. Benton cares about our school district the students, employees and parents. He is not "ONE OF THE GOOD OLE BOYS" for sure. So vote for Steve and see the improvement in this county.

Wow. You are a complete idiot to say stuff like that. I dont know about the others you mentioned, but Gardener works her ass for these schools and is out and about all the time. Duffee is active and visible as well.

Ask Chris Johnson, Terry Nichols, and Kenny Griffin how often their faces show up at the schools. You wanna talk about people who have no interest in the kids... there are three right there.

Your statement is really reckless and you can't assume because someone is retired they should just sit at home. In fact, retirees have the time to do their school board jobs and show up. Why elect people with full time jobs who can't and/or won't take the time they should to visit schools regularly?

Your rambling makes me think your voter registration card should be revoked.

Don't confuse showing up at schools with making effective change in a pitiful administration! We need board members to bring ideas and experiences into our school system that will make effective changes and not just sell their votes for personal agendas.
