Shane Dale Gracey

Is he the son of Melissa Gracey from FC? If so, was he killed or did he die some other way? Rumors get started. You don't want to believe anything until you know for sure. Wrong site to get true truth. But would like some insight on what happened. Thanks.

shane was the son of mellisa gracey of forrest city and grandson of billy wayne gracey. the only thing I know for sure so far is he was found dead in his bed. will update as soon as I learn more.

He is 20. His mother is Melissa. He did pass away and they are waiting for the autopsy report that should be back next week.
No one is sure what happened, he had an abscessed tooth and was on antibiotics.
While I didn't know him well, his mother is an amazing person. Please pray for God to comfort her in this difficult time. I haven't seen her not cry through this whole tragedy and my heart is breaking for her family. No one should ever have to bury their child. Please pray for them. Melissa's parents, Melissa, her husband and Shane's sister.

The visitation is 6pm thursday at morgans in Forrest City. please pray for all of Shanes family and friends.. It is a tragedy to see someone only 20 with such a promising life taken from us too soon.

His cause of death has yet to be determined. He was on antibiotics. The autopsy report should be back next week. It is possible that the abscess ruptured and got into his bloodstream and he got septic.
Sepsis is a serious medical condition caused by an overwhelming immune response to infection. Chemicals released into the blood to fight infection trigger widespread inflammation. Inflammation may result in organ damage. Blood clotting during sepsis reduces blood flow to limbs and internal organs, depriving them of nutrients and oxygen. In severe cases, one or more organs fail. In the worst cases, infection leads to a life-threatening drop in blood pressure, called septic shock. This can quickly lead to the failure of several organs --lungs, kidneys, and liver -- causing death.
If a tooth abscess progresses to a systemic infection, it can impair blood flow to the major organs such as the heart, brain and kidneys. The National Institutes of Health warns that sepsis can cause a complication called disseminated intravascular coagulation, or DIC, which leads to the formation of blood clots in the organs. This can cause stroke, heart attack and even death.

Shane went to the dentist a few days before he died. with an infected tooth. His family had an autopsy done but will not know cause of death for another 30 to 50 days.

Please do not do that, if you want to make donations, please send them to the local animal shelter in his name. The cost of my baby's funeral is taken care of. Please remember that Shane was a very loving and caring young man.

I sent flowers and a card. I don't know how to reach Melissa and I want to. I am so sorry all of this happened. Where does Melissa work now?

Melissa works at Addison, she is a supervisor in the fitting department. She is a wonderful person.

I know Melissa is his mother but hasn't Billy and Myrtle Gracey raised him since he was very very young?
