Has anyone experienced the rude and inconsiderate behavior displayed by the postal employees at the Andes post office? Every time I enter the post office I feel rushed and am greeted by the unfriendly staff there. Also the postal carrier is not friendly as well, they mix up my mail, its always late and sometimes wet as well.
If anyone is experiencing the same rude behavior as I am, please call the 1800-ask-usps phone number and complain as I have. We need to experience professionalism and courteousness and be serviced appropriately with a smile when dealing with the post office.
Please respond to the postas I am know that I am not the only customer who feels this way, then call and make a complaint. Maybe if they get enough complaints we can finally get friendly service with a smile. thank you.

Indeed!!!! I am so happy to see that it isn't just me. Something needs to be done. The man in charge is extremely bitter, angry, unpleasant and miserable!!! He has a serious hatred towards any person who lives in both New York City and Andes. He will find any reason to snap at you. Sometimes I want to say to him... maybe you need a vacation in paradise for about.... the rest of your life!
It feels like walking on eggshells every time I go in there.

Never judge a man until you walk a mile in his shoes. Rodney weaver has nearly a 100 mile/day mail route. And to anonymous in Hallcottsville: What exactly constitutes as late? I live in Delhi and I don't receive my mail until nearly 4pm. Does yours arrive later than that? I sincerely doubt it. Why don't you people try delivering mail for a day, heck, a week even. See how easy it is. See if you make any mistakes. Of course, I doubt you will, because you all seem so damn perfect. Stop judging. If you have an issue, purchase a PO Box and go pick up your own mail every single day.

i mean late as in many days after a package was sent to me, for example, someone sent me a letter from nyc and on the same day sent a letter to a southern state, way south. they received the letter 4 days earlier than mine.
And working hard for a living is no excuse for rudeness, incompetance, and unfriendly service, we all work hard for a living and most of us do not have a bad attitude, especially in a service business. Obviously you are the only one who disagrees with the other posts, you must work for the post ofice. Also, Dana, an Andes postal employee, is always friendly and servieces you with a smile all the time.

I have also experienced the rudeness at the andes post office. Thanks for the posts, I guess I am not the only person.
And in regards to NYOB, "walk a mile in Rodney Weavers shoes", He also has a bad attitude, thats no excuse just because he drives a hundred miles a day. I was a laborer on Long Island, worked my but off 7 days a week, in the rain, on Holidays etc. I still treated my customers with the utmost respect.
Im retired now, and I gotta deal with someone with an attitude who sits in a car all day? No excuse

Do I think that rudeness does not exist in the PO? No, I know that it does, absolutely. I think that the Postmaster in Andes is one of the most obnoxious public servants that I’ve ever met.
Rodeny? Ok, agree to disagree. I’ve never had a problem with him and in fact receive my mail hours earlier then when Dale was delivering.
Your mail’s late? Oh what a shame. Andes PO is not where you should be placing all of your blame. I’ve lived in many states and it always takes longer in state then it does state to state. Why? I don’t know! Does it make sense? NO. But there are a lot of things that don’t make sense with the PO.
Dana? Oh I’ve encountered her on bad days. I guess I don’t understand what all of you lovely individuals in Arkville are doing spending your time in the Andes PO.

Andes is spelled with a capital AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA and im is actually I'm. If you ever have a problem stop in to discuss any issues you may have. Contrary to you people we really are there to help.Unfortunately you folks dwell on one bad day we may have had, God bless you perfect people. It is New years day and we closed at noon and I was handing mail out the back door for people who did not know we closed early.

Yes it is scenic and beautiful, you should have been with me today 12/31/2009. The roads were the worst they have been in a long time. You were probably watching TV because you do not go out on bad day's. As far as no traffic, HA HA, There are so many idiots out there but I don't have a FORUM to express my views like you lucky people.
