so why is the water all weird looking (kind of a orange brown color) this time? no houses burnt this week. my bill stays between $65 -$150 for water i'm afraid to drink or cook with!! so what am i paying for?.. i can go crap in a bathroom at mcdonalds and thats free..

oh great.. so now i'm drinking someone's S**T water.. thats just lovely.. i think everyone on the water system here should REFUSE to pay until these people get their act straight. who is going to pay the hospital bills or funeral costs when people get sick or die from drinking this stuff. especially since they didn't bother notifying anyone.

just talked to the water department to find out what is really happening.. the SEWER people accidentally cut a 6in main WATER line thinking it was a sewer line.. they lost 500,000 gallons of water causing sediment to be stirred up in the tank and affecting the color of water. it IS safe to drink and you do NOT have to boil it.
so now we know whats going on.

The water is always discolored! It is very rare that i find clear water coming out of the faucet. Total bullcrap if u ask me.

No one should have to pay for the dirty and contaminated water being pumped into every home and business in Rainelle. Last year the water was contaminated with a toxic chemical known as potassium permanganate as result the water had a purple-pink color when coming out of our faucets.This chemical has been shown to attack the central nervous system,liver,and other vital organs and cause permanent nerological damage in children and adults of all ages.When the water dept. was informed of this by a resident they said they were aware of the situation and that the water was safe but do not drink it. The Rainelle water dept. did nothing to notify the public of the problem. The chlorination of Rainelle water is also a problem. Often the chlorine odor is so strong it burns our eyes,it literally smells like pure bleach is coming out of our faucet. This is an indication of high levels of halo-acetic acids whitch are a cancer cuasing byproduct from over-chlorination.

Aside from the risk of getting brain damage and cancer from Rainelle drinking water, halo-acetic acids have also been linked to high rates of miscarriages in women who come into contact with water containing these contaminates. The Rainelle water dept. has been in violation many times in the past and cited by the EPA for high levels of halo-acetics,arsonic,and nitrates. They have also been in violation and cited for complete failure to report these contaminates to the EPA,and complete failure to notify the public of contaminates. The individuals in charge of Rainelle's water supply should have more respect for the health of the residents. Maybe they need to be held accountable and forced to make a career change.

Don't pay your water bill and when it is cut off you will be thankfull for what ever you get when it comes back on. You have no idea of how lucky you were to have water after the storm last summer.Your water dept. worked around the clock to keep it on to keep from adding to the problems we all ready had.

Dangers to Skin


In all cases of exposure to potassium permanganate crystals, seek medical attention.

Potassium permanganate can be a severe skin irritant in crystal form, causing redness, burns, pain and dermatitis. Ensure you mix the potassium permanganate crystals with sterilized water according to your prescription to prevent possible skin irritation. If your skin is exposed to potassium permanganate crystals, rinse the area immediately, remove clothing and shoes if they were exposed and clean them thoroughly.


Effect on Eyes


Severe burning and redness will occur if potassium permanganate granules come into contact with your eyes. Per the Material Data Sheet for potassium permanganate crystals exposure to the eyes, use cool water to rinse the eyes for at least 15 minutes. Keep your face over a sink and lift your lower and upper eyelids gently to rinse.

Hazards of Inhalation


Inhaling the dust or crystals of potassium permanganate will cause severe burning in the mouth, throat, and lungs. Inhalation will cause difficult breathing and a cough. Seek immediate medical attention if you inhale the potassium permanganate crystals.


Ingestion


Do not swallow potassium permanganate crystals or liquid mix. Ingesting potassium permanganate in crystal form will burn the mouth and throat and cause diarrhea, vomiting, abdominal pain and possibly collapse and shock. Do not induce vomiting. Drink lots of water.


Problem Prescriptions


Stop using a liquid potassium permanganate prescription if browning, redness or burning of the skin occurs, and let your doctor know immediately.

looks to me like the Goverment and the states is trying to kill off people for they put out what you have to put in public water for the towns.
