Yes we go daily in the summer.

We go a few times a year.

We tried it & wasn't impressed

We tried it and it was dirty.

we will never go there again.

it is too crowded.

there's not enough lifeguards.

it's worth the fee you pay.

it's NOT worth the cost.

I have never been to the pool.

Salary to run the Park District is $60k a year which does come from the Marengo Residents, to apply for the Board of Directors apply at Marengo City Hall, The Marengo Park District or contact our Marengo Mayor.
Apply for a position that is voted in by marengo residents? When did that change ?
Why is every trash can full and I tried to use the bathroom the otherday and no TP. WTH ? The pool is over $20,000 to open and operate and brings in like $3000. The math is easy. Fill in that money pit, fire your lazy stupid ass and get someone to pick up all that trash everywhere. You are a joke and can't wait till your gone.

uncovering...thefact that your a liar is clear. If that were true then Anderson would have her hands washed of it other then firing the poolboy who's name was Tom. Not sure if they hired that worm again this year but the police would have been brought in and he would have been arrested. If you write your lies here have at least a name of the accused and not just the easy target of the soon to be gone director Anderson. That park is the joke of Illinois. trash everwhere , grass clumps all around, Every trash can full, trees without trimming for who knows how long, weeds growing everywhere. But them mirrors are shinny and clean for you self centered ego-maniacs with 5000 lights shining on you.

I have been to the pool. I will never go back, even it's free. We purchased a pool pass 5 years ago and used it twice the pool was decent back then, Refreshment stand, kid sand area, grass mowed, tons of lawn chairs in working order, water fountains were properly working. Then the following year never bought one lack of time. This year I decided to take my kids to the pool, the volleyball court, or lack there of one. Grass growing out of whatever sand they had left. Kids area was caution taped off? I was given three different reasons, mind you all on the same day by different girls running the front desk. Food stand gone completely. There might of been 30 people on particular day. When I say this I am not kidding, 12 chairs. seriously? We sat on the concrete, which would of been fun, except the fountain wasn't working so it sporadically went off. The one side had a rubber block holding down the other sprayer, so if you have little kids, they could potentially trip and go under the water, or try and pick this block up. I believe in buying local and keeping the money in marengo, so our town can strive, but when no one is putting in the effort to keep our pools, parks and bike paths up to par, why wouldn't I go to another town and help them, because no one in marengo is trying to help us!

Post script... I have never in countered the lifeguards or workers being incompetent. They are always pleasant. They probably work for less then what it costs to get into the pool.
