Ah, so now the tobacco companies are saying, "Oh, the PR campaigns we spent millions on to keep people doubting the full hazards associated with smoking couldn't POSSIBLY have worked!"

Twisted. But, of course, they probably have lawyers that are slick enough to make that seem plausible.
