You stupid moron, if you learn to read you'd see no one said Tom was a zip, only his Viet Cong wife is. You want to eat that crap, go ahead, ask her who she was related to, maybe you'll change your mind, then go visit the wall in DC.her relatives are in part responsible for 53,000 American servicemen not coming home alive. You seem to have a very short memory.

I really don't care where people are from. Many times people are forced to fight on behalf of their government for things they don't necessarily belive in. Just because Hitler was in Germany doesn't mean all Germans are bad people.

This is a review about the food and the restaurant, is it not? I really hope to someday be able to try the food. It looks incredible!

Ho Chi Minh asked the US President for American assistance to liberate his country from French colonialism at the Treaty of Versailles back in about 1918. The US president refused, so Ho Chi Minh turned to the Bolsheviks for help.

DeGaulle asked President Eisenhower for nuclear weapons to help France defeat the Vietnamese back in the 1950's and Eisenhower told DeGaulle no. The French got run out of Vietnam, and the US entered the area and ended up with the Vietnam War which was part of LBJ's "Guns and Butter" great society government.

The Vietnamese people for the most part are too young to even remember the Vietnam War, and we have relations with their country now.

What does any of this have to do with a restaurant in Florida?

My God, eat somewhere else if you want to but for the love of Christ, stop beating a dead horse about Vietnam or whatever you are doing.

You're entitled to your opinion bobby, I detest the place, I find it dirty, and having sub standard food.

My name is Alfonso Mancini, I do not need to make up fake names to write on this site. If you truly came into Eurasia and felt the food, service, or cleanliness was not to your standard then that is fine, everyone is entitled to their own opinion. But to those who trash the restaurants name under false information about my family is ridiculous.

First lets start of with whom most of you are referring to as Tom the Chef. His name is Tam and he is my uncle. He is no longer employed at the restaurant. He has been in the USA since he was around 11 years of age. NO VIETCONG HERE.

Now the other Tom, whose name is Thomas Marchese is part owner and is of the Italian decent. He was born in the USA.

Now to Ettore Mancini, my father. He was born in Italy in 1962 and moved to the USA when he was around 21 years of age. He has been cooking all his life and it is what he loves. He has two children Enrico Mancini and (me) Alfonso Mancini. Both born and raised here in Naples FL.

On to Monique Mancini, my mother. She was born and raised in Vietnam and moved to the USA in search of the freedom our country provides. She has been here in the states for over 40 years. She is half Vietnamese and half French. No ties to the vietcong and no one in her family has ever been a part of the Vietnamese military.

My brother has served 20+ years in the US Military as an EOD (Bomb Squad). He has been on tours to Afghanistan, Kosovo, and Iraq.

To the sly comment about the W.O.P. from the Italian Mountains, that is my cousin, and if you aren't gifted enough to know what he is writing then keep your comments to yourself.

If you have any doubts or questions about my family or Eurasia Restaurant feel free to visit our website www.EurasiaOfNaples.com and leave us a comment in our email box.

And a special thank you to everyone who has supported Eurasia Restaurant, my family, and Thomas Marchese.

Thank you,

Alfonso Mancini

Do you people have nothing better to do than trash others??? Think about what you write or say before it comes out of your mouths! This restaurant has the most incredible food. My husband and I dine out frequently at Campiello's, Handsome Harry's, Bice, and the list goes on. The food at Eurasia is absolutely delicious, the owner's treat everyone that comes in like family. This is my FAVORITE place to eat when we have a night out. Don't know what your problem is.

click on the above link, the dump has a very poor sanitation history, and to be quite frank, the food sucks.

We have a condo in the area and when we are back in Naples we go there to eat. The food is very good, and the prices reasonable. You are correct that ettores wife is from Vietnam.

The owner in fact is Italian and his wife is of Asian descent, YES Vietnamese.
They are a lovely family with two amazing sons, both sides of the family work there. Her brothers cook Vietnamise and the owner her husband is the Italian Chef. Excellent! Ballisimo!!
I frequent there and love the menu and the array of choices.
Some comments are truly mind boggling. If we were to stop eating in resteraunts because of past History, Then we should exclude everyone one in every continent of the World every cusine including the US because of the civil war killing each other or maybe the masacres that happened with the Indians and cowboys!
Okay no more Southern fried Chicken for you or corn on the cob or apple pie!

Why are you bringing back an old topic like this, it sounds as though you are the owner of the place. hes admitted his wifes family was Viet Cong, go to Wash. DC, 55,000 names that didnt return thanks to Viet Cong.
