A woman's world is turned upside down when her mind decides to play tricks on her and when the only person in the world who can look after her needs, chooses to abandon her. When this dreaded disease creeps into one's life and fogs the memory, does it have to mean that one no longer has the freedom that they once experienced? Is this disease equal to a prison sentence, with death being the ultimate end? When the ones who have been entrusted to protect these individuals prevent them from simple freedoms, such as communicating with the outside world; when they cannot see whom they wish or share in a telephone conversation with old friends, what can be done? Are there laws in place to protect these individuals from family members whose only objectives are to lock them up and steal their wealth? This scenario is happening today, right here among upstanding members of the community. A woman has fallen victim to this disease and the only family she has, has taken away her rights. She cannot talk on the phone, she cannot receive letters, she cannot visit friends and family who care for her. Instead she has been locked in a facility and her hopes and desires are being controlled and manipulated for another's gain. Her spirit is being shattered. Should this be happening in these times? Do those with the power realize how barbaric and midevil this appears to the world?
