I have never had any problems at Abbigayle's have always found store owner Tina Woodfin very knowledgeable and very helpful and trys to do good things for the community and the people in it, so I figure whoever posted those rude comments is obviously jealous of her and the fact that she runs a buisness. And the fact that she does work and take care of her children they are clean don't smell and are fed and when I have seen them in her shop they are very happy.

To: I know it all, I know who you are and if your business wasn't all over town no one would be in it! Get a life! To: cs owner, wow that's a little harsh. And seeing how there is only 3 consignment shops in town and Miss Rita don't use a computer we can guess who ya are. To: everyone else, My business is open to everyone I don't use it to get rich! If anyone has a house fire a disaster etc. I always try to help. If you don't like how I run my business there is two other stores in town. Please feel free to visit them. I always try to point that out to my customers if they are looking for something I may not have! I buy a lot of my stuff from people who come in and don't wanna consign they need the cash now. And some of my stuff is priced by my consignors they have that option. I have not LOST any of my consignors items they are numbered the minute they come in the door. We are truly trying to get away from consignment, we are buying most of our stuff now and we have a large selection of NEW hair accessories, handmade clothing, tutus and tutu dresses, I am different than the other consignment shops in town because I only do children's items. I have shopped at Miss Rita's for years and tried the other shop one time and was treated like a thief and a spy. Just like with any business you will hear bad and good about all of them. But I challenge you to come by and look around and if you are treated poorly or if you think we are priced to high bring it to my attention and it will be dealt with. Have a blessed day!

Oh and but the way yes I shop at goodwill and salvation army! If you see me in there you will find in my cart a toaster a coffe pot or some junk toys my kids just have to have! Oh and I did by my long legged teen boy some jeans and tees to keep at his grandmas for when he is down there helping in the garden! I am a mom and do buy nice clothes for my kids at school time but we live on a farm with horses cows and dogs cats and chickens! We ride on the tractor in the summer and swim in the creek, we r not high faulting and we'd welcome ya to supper any night if ya was here. My store stays well stocked and I DON'T have time to be running for stuff at goodwill or any where else! We are country and we are proud of it!

Everytime I've been to goodwill I have saw the owner of Hollys consignment in there buying carts full of clothes to take back to her store to resale for a much higher price.
Just my 2 cents worth

Abbigayles- I have to admit I have never been in your store, since I don't go to MH very often. I would say the 'haters' are jealous. Jealousy turns people into mean people. There is nothing wrong with the business that you have and the job that you do. I personally do not see any difference in you buying clothes from other people or other businesses and marking the price up any different than wally world buying items wholesale from China and marking the price up. There are tons of stores out there that buy wholesale from China and mark the price up thats the way businesses work. Sadly Bolling County is a low income county, with that being said; you will always have people that think your prices are too high for their food stamp income. Maybe if people would stop buying all their cigs and booze they would have more money for their children's clothes, but that would be expecting a lot from certain people. Keep doing what you are doing. Something tells me you are doing a good job or you wouldn't have so many people that are all up in your business.
just wondering

I too agree that most of those shops are well over priced. I shop at them occasionally because I like a bargain. But if I wait J.C. Penneys will have a $1.99 or $2.99 and I buy then. I have seen clothes at these places on the racks for months so why not price them reasonably in the first place and move them out? Especially if the store is in a lower income county!

I see Rita and Michelle over at salv. Army and the goodwill buying clothes and funr. So those high mighty are not prefect. They pay $2 for a pair of shorts and mark them here $5.99 that's nuts!! And we have to pay taxes on it were they didn't.

Hey, I have an idea. Why don't all you folks complaining about the shop owners going to Good Will and Salvation Amry, go there yourselves and shop. Then all us non-complainers can shop in Marble Hill and: 1. Keep our money in the area supporting local businesses. 2. Not spend money on gas driving 30 miles to Cape.

Well in all reality if they buy their stuff from Cape and then you buy it from them, what's the difference? Holly has a beautiful store and it is well organized. And I do know Miss Rita bought a couch set for 50 and had it priced for 600 but hey people buy it. Guess it saves them the aggravation of driving and looking for it. I will not bash either of them but as I stated earlier Holly did treat me very poorly the first and only time I visited her store. But I still paid for the fourty dollars worth of merchandise that I had because I needed it, didn't want to drive to Jackson and Miss Rita was closed! Unlike some I have heard just dumped it on her counter and walked out!:(

I just think there's a lot of jealousy in the comments. So what if people are able to make a living from buying and reselling stuff. This goes on in all retail businesses. People import from china everyday. Chances are you are paying double for things you buy at Wally world. All those things that are made in china are bought dirt cheap and prices are marked up to as much as 300% mark up and people still pay for the item. If people would only charge what people wanted to pay businesses would go broke because there's too many lazy people that want something for nothing

anyone who wants to shop elsewhere can go to the SA in Jackson, etc. Carpool once a month with others if need be. Do not have to shop local if you don't wanna.
90% of my grocery, clothes, thrift stores and gas purchasing is in Cape /Jackson. Have a list, go once a week, may buy a few things at CM till next trip. carry an icechest with ice for milk/meat.

I live here in BOCO but am NOT a local related to half the county. Never was wanted here as I'm an outsider so I take my money elsewhere. Not hurting anyone including myself as the savings pay for my gas.

Did have the roofing, siding, well work, and septic redone by locals, who were all good people and did excellent work, I can say that.

Tried to fit in for 2 years then said to hell with it and have been a dedicated loner ever since. Very content until we can get away from MO.

Abbigayles- all you're doing is making your business look bad by getting involved in the drama. Standing up for your business is fine, but to start in with the others with the drama is only hurting your business name and reputation and your personal reputation
