Yea, Knives are so much more intimate. I guess you figure that if the psycho did'nt have a gun he would not have killed her. Guns are tools and in themselves inanimate objects that know no intent. The mind behind the tool dictates it's use. I have personal experience with saving a life more than once with a firearm, my own included. It's unfortunate but if a gun was not available a killer will use anything to accomplish his intent. Gun ownership is an American tradition and a Constitutional right. It's an important symbol of a free society. This death is Not an example of gun ownership if Florida. It is simply what it is, one human killing another.
What is your problem

Once again, the Sun Sentinel is trashing Plantation. What is your problem? What has the fact that a suspected killer who happens to livein Plantation have to do with the crime? Did the crime happen here? NO !! You couldn't just say "Man kills girlfriend" like the Herald did??? Just like the murder/suicide at the police dept., you just have to keep making people think that Plantation is riddled with crime. It's a great City and we would appreciate it if you would get over your obsession with trying to make us look otherwise!!!

It's not the guns that kills it's the person pulling the trigger.

Yeah, but you know what? I'd rather run from someone with knife than run from someone with a gun. And, knifes don't accidentally go off....

ALL I CAN SAY IS THAT THIS IS TRULY THE END OF TIMES. JUDGEMENT DAY IS JUST AROUND THE CORNER. THE HEART OF MAN IS DESPERATELY WICKED AND OUR YOUNGER GENERATION 15-35 IS SO LOST IN THE THINGS OF THIS WORLD, THAT THEY HAVE FORGOTTEN THAT THERE IS A GOD. SO WHEN YOU FORGET GOD, AUTOMATICALLY THE devil STEPS IN AND TRY TO RULE YOUR LIFE. HOW CAN THIS MAN SAY THAT KILLING HIS GIRLFRIEND WAS AN ACCIDENT. IT SEEMS AS IF HE DID IT ON PURPOSE, SHE TOLD HIM 'DON'T PLAY LIKE THAT' - NOT REALISING THAT HE WAS MORE SERIOUS THAN A JUDGE. BOOK HIM FOR 500 YEARS, HOPEFULLY HE WILL SERVE 250 BEFORE A CHANCE FOR PAROLE (SMILE)

negligent manslaughter? This is murder, he pointed a loaded weapon at someone and fired. Who knows if it was intentional or not but at least murder 2

You do realize God gave us free will, right? The free will to choose what we do with our lives and day to day decisions. He chose to do this, no one MADE him do it. This is how insanity pleas happen. No accountability. It's hard to tell whether it was an accident or not. One thing I have learned about being around guns and people not being properly trained, most will automatically put their finger on the trigger. Almost like instinct. This is how most accidents happen, if people would learn to keep their guns locked this kind of thing wouldn't happen.

By the way, I hate guns. But I have been around them since I was 8, so I know the basics of gun safety.

I feel bad for the girlfriend. Not being smart enough to avoid [email protected] like this guy is a fatal mistake. A woman his own age would never put up with him.
