It's truly sad to see that Barringer High School is such a dangerous and failing school. I was born and raised in Newark and even though I didn't go there myself my daughter who would of been her first year there, I had to pick up and move out of the district..Over my dead body my daughter was going to that school, Im a devoted mother who wants best for my child, I told myself that my child deserves a chance at life and a chance at a great education...And, sorry but Barringer was not it!! So sad to see that these kids are flushing their lives and education down the toilet...But, I think that the parents have alot to do with this type of behavior...The way these kids act start at home...No home training..no nothing...

Yes, The way the child is raised is the way the child will act. Now, Barringer is well known for fights and Gangs for years. Leaders is what they need, Parents is what they ask for, these kids need the truth in this school and not lies..Truth, tell them about the brain washing intertament they listen to and watch, Don't lie about there real History,,Have more meetings with parents and staff, more events in house and teachers need to be stronger and have the no how to control a failing child.

Jesus Christ loves everyone one NOT just someone....People wake up, your children are asleep..

I agree with this 100%...how will these children succeed if they don't get all the help they need from school & home. These teachers need to stand strong!

I am a proud Barringer student . I completly agree , it isnt the teachers or the school that has fault,it is some of my ghetto peers . They have no respect for others or themselves for that matter . I cant even bare to imagine the aggany my teachers face with these kids each day . They act like savages as if they were raised by monkeys . The parents are to blame . Maybe if the community would rise above the ignorance , than maybe they can excell , but i expect nothing but ignorance and stupidity from them because that is all they know . There brain is implanted with negative things . How can you teach someone who doesnt want to be taught . It goes in one ear and comes out the other , they cant hold any positive information . The only thing these kids care about are drugs , gangs , fights , and sex . All i can do is shake my head .

The role models for some children are their parents and their parents are out playing sex offender Biker support ----------Hollywood Freaks like Kurt Sutter making scumbags out to be hero's has screwed up the parents and kids have no one to learn morals and values from.

the parents give sex offenders money and the parents spend their free time partying with sex offenders and other freaks leaving no Family time to spend with their children.

MARCH 2013 Hells Angel member sentenced in federal court in Boston to 21 years
A federal judge in Boston has sentenced a member of the Hells Angels motorcycle gang with a long criminal record to 21 years in prison for possession of a firearm and ammunition after committing a felony, prosecutors said.
Eric Franco, 38, was the sergeant-at-arms for the Hells Angels chapter in Lynn, a statement from US Attorney Carmen Ortiz said. He was convicted of the charges in September and sentenced Tuesday in US District Court in Boston.
In May, Lynn police arrested Franco after finding the gun and ammunition in his apartment while investigating a report that Franco was assaulting his girlfriend, the statement said.
Franco’s criminal record already included three convictions for assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, and convictions for indecent assault and battery, failure to register as a sex offender, breaking and entering with intent to commit a felony, and conspiracy to violate the controlled substances act.
He was also convicted in Arkansas on an assault and battery in the second degree charge after he and five other Hells Angels stabbed four members of another gang, the prosecutors’ statement said.
Also today, the State Police announced that they had arrested four suspects and executed multiple search warrants on the North Shore as part of a probe into criminal activities of the Hells Angel and Red Devils motorcycle clubs.
Two of the four suspects arrested were Hells Angels; two others were Red Devils. Two other suspects are still being sought. All six face charges of kidnapping, mayhem, and extortion, State Police said.
The charges stem from acts committed against one male victim. State Police said no further details were being released about the victim or the crimes.

what you do is not be a devoted mother you might as well spoil the poor child to death. I do not want to talk a lot of nonsense but you sure do sound like the mother that likes to talk a lot of good stuff about your child but there might be a side you don't know about her like her sexual life and the drugs done that you don't even know. Every child has a secret that parents aware of. And I for one think its perfectly normal. once my child reaches the age of 18 he is perfectly legal to care for himself I don't care what he does during the age of 12-17 as long as he has his life under control and is perfectly safe he needs to start learning how to take care of himself during those years. So don't really talk a lot of smack about your daughter if you don't know her as a whole, not just the bits and pieces that make you sound like a good mother. And I really don't appreciate you talking about barringer that way if you don't even know the kids in the school. Sure there are some bad kids that are disrespectful and loud (not to forget annoying) not all of them are. There are a lot students in there that try their best to do good. There are gifted and talented students in that school and I have actually seen them. I also am a student that goes to barringer but unlike most I am one that has been to many other schools around the United States, not just in New Jersey. I have seen worst school than barringer. School that are runner by the kids with no respect. Schools that the teacher and principals have no control over. The lockers and room are tagged up with horrible graffiti. The is with so many holes and vandalized so much that I only stayed a week in that school. Barringer is a perfectly normal school to go to a large percentage of the students will have respect for you even though they don't even know you. Everyone can get along with every one. We are like a big family each one taking care for the other. Sometimes fights occur but not often and they one occur with a good student against a bad student but the only reason a fight turns big is cause everyone stands up for their friends. Everyone has talent in that school and everyone is very gifted at a subject. Every student is good but some just are depressed or sad which puts them in a grumpy mood cause sometimes they don't know of to deal with the problems at home.
I love barringer. It has been a great school for me so far and wish I could stay to finish my education there. Sure it has it ups and downs. But every one there is friendly unless you get on there bad side like this "devoted mother" did. Every one was talking about this fight but hey guess what? Fight happen and it's all wired to, from what I have learn so far in barringer, our frontal lobe which triggers emotions. A great story to read about the frontal lobe is the story of Phineas Gage and his tamping iron rod. I would like to end off here saying that barringer is not so bad of a school they say it and personally I think is because of our principal Ms. Davis. She has helped barringer greatly.
