I knew Danny as well from high school and the problem I have with everyone making him out to be a saint is this - anyone who knew him well - knows he was dealing on the streets. Even his other half has admitted it to the police. When you have a woman in your life that you love and a daughter that needs a father - it's time to stop living that kind of life. Dirty dealings cause a murder like getting shot in the head. The other problem I have is everyone doing things he would have loved in memory of him to "celebrate" his time here as one of the living. Smoking marijuana, getting high and getting wasted on liquor is what many were doing (and to me using as an excuse just to do it) because he passed away. If people really want to celebrate his life and doing something constructive to honor him, then everyone should STOP buying any kind of drug off the streets from any dealer (whether it be marijuana, pills, cocaine - anything). By doing this, you will deplete the supply a dealer needs to run his business and it will put them out of doing this dirty business and have them do things on the up and up. By stopping substance purchasing, everyone can prevent a tragedy like this from happening to someone else. A father will be saved. A son will be saved. A husband will be saved. Anyone who was a customer of Danny's should feel extremely guilty. Though Danny was an adult and should have thought about his daughter and woman, everyone who purchased from him contributed to his murder and made this happen. Yet, they continue to get high after his death - even using that as an excuse because he would have loved it. It is disgusting to even see and hear these people doing this after his passing. Many of them are in their mid 20's and still doing this and even posting it all over their facebooks and myspace and everywhere. There is a time to realize many things and become adults and leave things like what they are doing in the past and behind them and start thinking about others. That time is NOW.

I totally agree with Jazmin. That Jay character is missing the whole point. What she is saying is in honor of Daniel, if everyone who was a true friend loved him so much, they would not be getting high still in his honor after his death. That is a slap in the face. Read what she is saying. If all of you STOP buying weed and pills and coke and whatever it is you are doing, you can prevent this from happening again to someone else who deals. Someone else who is a dad, father, son, etc. You can save this senseless thing from happening again and save another family's heartache. She is not saying he deserved to die, but when you deal in dirty stuff like that, alot of times there are consequences and being a man, Danny should have know that. It just sounds to me like everyone getting high will use even something like his death to justify their continuation of it and just can't stop. If you really cared about him and human beings in general, as Jazmin said, stop doing it and you will save other human lives. Don't use his death as a means to continue getting high and justify the fact that many of you love it more than those in your life as well as yourselves. Getting high doesn't make somebody a man and it is even less appealing on a female. A true man knows what is important in life and puts that first - which should be family and friends, etc.- over getting high - using it or dealing it. I can definitely see that Jazmin, though she knew Danny from high school, has moved on and beyond those years. Looks like many of his other "friends" have not and it's time to grow up. God Bless the soul of Daniel and God Bless you Jazmin, may your words get through to those who are still immature and don't know the correct path to BEGIN to make this a better world.

That is what drugs do. Marijuana is a drug as well. People act like it's nothing. Whether you use it or you distribute it, there is always consequences. The person can lose their family, friends, loving relationships and sometiems, even their life. I totally agree with these people. Figure out what is important in life. Getting high is NOT.

Sounds like a gang hit. He pissed somebody off. Sounds like he got what he deserved one less inmate the state has to house if he would have gotten caught! The best thing about it was no innocent people got shot in a cross fire. We need to get rid of scum like this. I see it everyday at work in the jail always talkin how they can't wait to get back out and making those stacks on the streets. Bragging about how hard they are and how much stain they got on the bricks! This is the best thing that could have happened maybe some young kid will be scared straight. I feel sorry for the family but its obvious that they did not raise him the right way. We all learn a lesson don't get involved in gangs and sell drugs!!!

Corrections officer... no one deserves this.. if someone does wrong yes they should do time but who are you to say he got what he deserved no one deserves to have their life taken from then at such a young age. you dont know him or his family or his daughter who is now suffering because of the scum to put a bullet in his head trying to play god.. he never murdered anyone this is not an eye for an eye... this is something so horrible that happened.. no one deserves this.. even if he made mistakes maybe if he was given a chance to turn around maybe he could have but now he never can because someone took that chance away from him.. someone murdered him.. why dont you say something about the scum who shot him because that is such a worse crime.. this comment upset me so much i wish i could say so much more to you but there is no point u obviously dont care about human life..NO ONE DESERVES THIS... NO ONE... who ever murdered him i hope they get caught and go to jail.. i dont hope they get murdered unless they are sentenced to death by the court..i dont believe someone deserves to get murdered.. maybe you would feel differently if it was one of ur family members who maybe needed someone to help them change their ways but if someone kills them ur left with a broken heart and he is left with out a life or a change to right his wrongs..how would u feel reading someone calling him scum and saying such horrible things.. he was someones son someones brother someones fiance someones father.. have a little god damn respect..

first im sure as most of you morons know no "dealer" forces their customers to buy and use, and if he wasen't selling them the drugs someone else would have. No one deserves to be shot in the back on the head like what kind of coward thinks thats justice. The most of you would turn to someone like him for help if the cops couldnt help you, and how many of you that judge drink every night or pop "prescription pain killers" how are you any better. As far a "weed" "pot" goes a lot of people have their licenses now for a reason they have proven many medical applications for it as well as proving it not as harmful to your body as "tobacco and alcohol" are. On top of everything else most of you are giving so much in life what would you do with nothing and you had people counting on you? anyway i think your all very harsh and hypocritical and you disgust me talking about someone who has passed the way you have been i hope their a special corner n hell for all of you

I knew danny very well and he was a close friend of mine. He did what he had to do to put food on the table even if we don't agree with it. In the drug game its dangerous for anyone whose selling or buying it. Nobody deserves to die because of it but unfortunately danny did. The main thing is to remember the good times with danny and hopefully justice will be done to find who murdered him. RIP danny

it's such a sad tragedy this had to happen to a person as awesome as him. I know Shane's family and I know Shane's brother and sister and we grew up in the same town. Shane was a good childhood friend and it's sad to see him lose his life at such a young age. he had a great family and they don't deserve such a loss as losing a son a brother a best friend and someone so young. God rest his soul.
