Ruben Rosario: Graves of 6 slain kids to be marked

Full story: TwinCities.com

This is the kind of thing that makes me appreciate living here. While the Republican National Convention was attracting protesters and making headlines in the Saintly City last September, I headed one day to Forest Lawn Cemetery in Maplewood.

Thanks Ruben, all too often these stories never make it to the paper. These children did not deserve their end and to not even mark their graves just amplified their untimely end. There are truly still "some" good, compassionate people left unlike some of those above.

What's wasteful is your very existence here. And when you're six feet under, it'll be a waste of perfectly good land.

I don't know this family, who I do know is Chester...{owner of Schoenrocks)My father used to work for him long ago, and when he passed, I called Chester, because I know my father would want him to do the headstone for him..Chester was so helpful, kind and such a generous person...It doesn't surprise me one bit that he would contribute in this manner..

I remember this case. I can't believe it has been so many years. The tribute to the children is wonderful. How can this event NOT bother everyone?

These children deserve to have a stone to mark their final resting spot. Thank you to all involved in making that happen for them.

I am quite sure these kids would have preferred to live, and given that they didn't get that chance I am pretty sure they would at least want to be acknowledged and remembered.

It escapes me how anyone could begrudge these children a marker, and there are many citizens, including myself, who would have been more than glad to donate $ for stones.

You are not paying for this so it's probably best you don't concern yourself with it either.

rubon is like usual ten years behind times. He should have been there then and now be there for every child to have a stone. Or is he just trying to stir the memories of it ? So rubon do it for all children. Next time keep your hands on the keyboard and no longer patting yourself on the back.
Thanks to all others who did the real work for these children.

Forgot to mention that all 6 children had a Christian funeral too, so not sure why they would be asking the mother what religion they were.
