Why isn't something being done about the safety of the trails in Maple Valley? My son was also beaten up on the trails a couple of years back. The kid that did it never even had to finish paying his restitution. This isn't the firt time someone has been beaten up on the trails in Maple Valley. I had to call the police in Maple Valley because a man got out of his truck when I told him he shouldn't park in the handicapped parking. He then started threatening my disabled husband and I and threatened to run over us and the cops never even showed up! We sat and waited for them for forty five minutes and they never even responded to the report. Residents of Maple Valley should be able to walk the trails without fear that we are going to be mugged. Also, just recently called the police again because there was a woman clearly high on drugs who was walking ON the train tracks. We pulled over and told her to please come off the train tracks. She proceeded to tell us she was meeting a male friend who couldn't be seen by the police. We called the police on that one too because one, there is a woman high on drugs who might get hit by a train, and two, they are trying to evade police for some reason. 911 acted like we were wasting their time and I don't think the police ever showed up on that one either. It's too bad that when you call the police nowadays you are made to feel like you are wasting their time if they even bother to show up. Yet they have time to race up and down our street at high speeds for no apparent reason. It would really be nice if it were a priority to catch people that are making our town unsafe. How many people have to get beat up before this becomes a priority? For some reason, I don't see police responding to calls, yet I will see them all have time to hang out together at certain locations chit chatting.
