Don't want to hear news how the public union teachers make our kids rank 25th on the worlds's scale. And what exactly is Unity Day? Sounds like propaganda to me.

I have infinitely more respect for the guy who stocks shelves than any public union teacher. He's earning an HONEST living, not living off the backs of the shelf stockers who pay the taxes that the Unions are allowed to steal because greedy rich worthless slobs like Corzine gave them anything they wanted as long as he got their vote. It should be illegal..

I understand the frustration being expressed here and I completely agree that the quality of the education our kids receive is very substandard. But some of these comments are awfully broad and unfair.

1) Only long-tenured teachers make good money. Most teachers make peanuts for the first half of their career. It is certainly not a lucrative career path for anyone who has earned a college degree.

2) Of the dozens of local teachers who I have met over the past 8 years in Lumberton, only a couple were bad. Most are really good people whose hearts are in the right place, but whose hands are tied by the system.

The problems are the fault of the school systems here in NJ (or the entire US, for that matter). Blaming teachers for the failure of our school systems is like blaming the sergeants for losing the war. I blame the State and local school boards, superintendents, principals, teachers union, etc.

Teachers should take some responsibility for teaching communism by example. That's what public unions are all about do after all. The whole of public education is steeped in the old outmoded strains of communism from way back when.

I guess you haven't read the revised version of the Three Little Pigs that is being used in public schools. Wait till you see what they did to that! It's unbelievable. You will be shocked. I guarantee it. And that is just the tip of the iceberg.

I guess that he/she must be blind not to see what has been going on in the schools and colleges for the last 30 years.90% of the teachers were taught(in college) that being a liberal/socilist is the only way to "save" the "entitled" few. Wasn't the grade school in Burlington Township on the news for their "Obama- umm-umm-umm"crap that the teachers were brainwashing the kids with? Can't display the American flag, can't say Merry Chiristmas, press 1 for english and untold numbers of other P/C,liberal B/S.Thanks to the liberal bleeding hearts, the ACLU and the left wing loons in the democrat party.God help us all and our country.
