Mount Laurel man shot and killed in Camden

Errick Williams, 34, of Mount Laurel, was shot multiple times about 7 p.m. Saturday outside an unidentified business at 10th Street and Ferry Avenue, the Camden County Prosecutor's Office said Monday.

Why do so many people get shot and killed in Camden, NJ?
I think it's because of the democrats that have set policy there forever. I can't understand why the people there don't vote every democrat out of office in Camden. Deomcrats are bad, bad, news for Camden. Always have been and always will be. That's no lie. Vote for an independant or anybody but a democrat. Socialism stinks. That's what they got there in Camden. Socialism. Except they already ran out of money years ago. It's happeneing to the stupid socialists of Europe now. Soon most of Europe will be just like Camden. That's no lie.

I wish his family the best.If we,the people don't start to make comments and keep looking the other way crimes like this will only get worst.Crimes are going thru the roof because the public always think the "system" will do their job,guess what people,they don't.The "system" has become too PC and are afraid that they will be labled racist and get sued by the preps,ACLU,ect.The only thing that the people in office worry about is getting relected and they will do anything to stay in power.

Yes a life has been lost. I will not use the term "innocent" because the facts are not in. Nothing is known except it was 7 Saturday night in a very bad part of Camden. Why was he there?

Williams last residence was Mt. Laurel,he grew up in Camden. It can be assumed he was Black. Given both were he grew up and first name spelling.

Freedom of speech is a very dangerous thing. You are all definitely entitled to it, but entitlement and abuse is two totally different things. He was like a lil brother to me and his record from 14-15 years ago doesn't make him not "innocent" today. Never a more idiotic statement. Commenting on a willingboro forum will do nothing to stop crime in camden. How about not laying off cops? Crime has been on the decline nationwide for years. PC and law suits have nothing to do with anything. It sickens me that this rubbish gets repeated enough that people start to believe it. Of the small percentage of lawsuits suspects file that make it to court, most lose. If the cops do thier job right they have nothing to worry about, Dude jails are not filled with innocent cops, stop writing nonsense.

City handouts? Arent most programs run by the state or federal gov't?

Handouts make cities fail? Really dude? Do ever think before writing? How about a lack of jobs or good paying jobs. All the factories that once dominated the area are gone, people moved to these cities for those jobs and now they got nothing. Blame the greedy corporations for shipping jobs overseas. North Philly was full of textile mills, those buildings are condos now. Once jobs now nothing. Stop blaming the poor for being poor. You do know most welfare recipients are rural whites right, not urban blacks. just so you know.

The real reason these murders keep happening is because of poverty, ignorance, and lack of education. These street thugs today have no loyalty or respect for life. They're angry at what the world has dealt them so they take it out on others. Prison to them is much easier then dealing with everyday life. Three hots and a cot. Hang out all day and pay no bills.
The only way to change this problem is to educate the city kids and possibly bring them out into other school districts other then Camden or open more charter schools that's having a great impact today. They need a chance and be shown what life has to offer them.

Understand pigpen.. I'm not suggesting full riot gear or tanks, I'm talking about putting our soldiers in the same uniform police cars to help enforce the law and to protect our officers. They are already getting paid from the tax payers. It's the shallowness that I can't stand from you ignorant people. Not everyone has been delt the same cards. There are teens that have little brothers and sisters and their parents are on drugs. In order for them to survive is to rob, steal or sell drugs. No one home to take care of them or feed them. This doesn't make it right but this is reality.This is the backlash from slavery, segregation, and prejudice from your people. Kool-Aid..you need a reality check. Mixing the schools would not make the schools worst. Not only would they get a better education but they would be opened to the different races and cultures other then blacks and hispanics. They would understand and see the world in a different light. This would help with reducing crime and less drop outs. Less people on welfare as these kids get older and graduate.
