Bedford Hts Shooting

You all probably heard of the lame brain that broke into a Bedford Hts house on 4/25/12. The dimwit breaks into a home and was there to rob the place but the home owner shot the 'bee-stard' when the intruder threatened him with a knife. Good for the home owner! I fully support his actions of shooting that worthless punk! The imbecile thief was taken to a hospital though so, he survived the 45 cal gunshot. Too bad the home owner didn't aim for its head and put another creep out of the thieving business.

The homeowner hit him in the chest with a 45. That would kill most people.

From what I've read, the subject had mental problems. I don't celebrate shootings like that. Not that I blame the homeowner of course, but I get more glee in shootings when the lowlife is just that--a lowlife.

Now is that the Topix rules that I have to post the links? If I don't post them, what could happen to me? I get banned from the forum? Maybe have my voting privileges taken from me? Exiled to Elba? lol! Just joking with you Mapleman. I get what you mean. You want to read the proof of my postings. Will do, buddy.

Oh, I totally agree Joe. It's just that it's not as festive as when you read a story about some lazy lowlife with no job busting into a house and being surprised by an armed home owner. I love stories like that. I even post them on my facebook page. The more lowlifes that become worm food, the better.

It's like that story that came out yesterday on the cities west side. Some lowlifes decided to attack an off-duty police officer. Sadly, he was shot, but it was a minor injury and he's home today. But he managed to shoot at least one of his three attackers, and the other two are sitting in jail today. I don't know what happened to the guy the officer shot.

See, I celebrate stories like that. Stories like that make me happy, especially if the attackers or robbers are long gone and the devils problem.

But I don't get any glee if a person was shot because he had mental problems. Yes, the homeowner had to protect himself, but it's just a sad case.

But some criminals have mental problems. Where do you draw the line? Pedophilia is a mental problem. Some people are sociopaths; their brains are wired different. They have no empathy.

Just curious, where do you draw the line?

I draw the line where a person is incapable of making rational decisions. A person breaking into a home where unknown harm may be is not rational. Pedophiles don't do that. In fact, many pedophiles are very slick at what they do. They cover every angle.

A more recent case is where a guy purchased a knife in a Utah store, and then started to stab people. He was not rational until he was met by a citizen licensed to use his firearm. At that point, the attacker dropped his knife and was subdued until police arrived. He was a foreigner who was screaming "you killed my people." For the most part, he was not rational, but had enough sense to not get killed in his endeavor.

As I explained to Joe, I don't celebrate shootings of people with mental problems strong enough to cloud their ability to make a sensible decision. The professionals who have that sense and get killed is certainly something to celebrate. I respect the homeowners decision to use deadly force to protect him and his family, but again, a sad case instead of a happy one.
