DFLers should be counting their blessings. Instead, from their blinkered perspective, the GOP's capture of the Minnesota Legislature appears aberrant and dreadful. And they've found a bogeyman to blame: Minnesota businesses. Their gripe seems twofold. First, business, through independent groups like the Coalition of Minnesota Businesses, spent too much -- i.e., "bought and paid for" the Legislature. And, second, business groups unconscionably exploited voters with negative advertising.

We hear this so much that the reality comes as a surprise: Minnesota Democrats and their allies actually outspent Republicans and their allies in 2010 roughly 2 to 1, though final totals won't be known for some time.

The Senate DFL caucus raised four times more than the Senate GOP caucus, and the House DFL caucus raised two times more than its GOP counterpart. The DFL state party raised over three times more than the state GOP. Mark Dayton raised more than one and a half times what Tom Emmer did.
And if

You'll pardon me if I'm a little skeptical of these procedural changes. I'll have to see what kinds of bills the GOP trys to pass in this more efficient legislative process.(read: social agenda)

After all, redistricting can be efficient too, but usually only for the party that's in control.

the Pioneer Republican is praising the GOP. This paper would endorse a clock if it had an "R" after it's name.

Like someone mentioned earlier in this thread, I find the PP somewhat middle-of-the road. They still appear to lean to the left but throw enough R endorsements out there to at least give the impression of being somewhat objective.

It sounds like you are only happy when they stay strictly with the good 'ol DFL all the way. How dare anyone not agree with you? May I suggest the Red Star across the river. I can't ever rememeber them crossing the line.

I'm the one who originally said the PP is middle-of-the-road. Actually, the editorial page of the strib has moved toward the middle. They endorsed Coleman two years ago and Horner for governor this year.

Thanks. I didn't know that but I've stopped checking in on their editorial stuff. Now that you mention it, I do remember someone complaining about the Strib moving to the right. I thought it was absurd at the time but I guess I was wrong.

Good lord lol/Rocky/Citizen/Jerry, get some education. Since you continue to come back here and spew your tired, old, stale and still unsubstantiated (look it up) rant - at least do us a favor and make it possible for everyone to read it.

Oh and by the way, what were you arrested for?

I state facts. All you can do in response is what were you arrested for. How did you know all that? After a few million of your victums. It is now public knowledge. The only one who does not understand what they do is wrong and criminal. Are the pervs with badges. Beating little girls , killing, shooting in the back, has been policy for decadeds. All of America knows there all pure evi and they follow the devil in the black dress. Life is short. Enjoy. There is no member of any criminal just us system in Heaven. That is why it is heaven. Have the sarg explain this to you E fudd. If read it several times. then maybe you will comprehend.
