We come to bury homosexual "marriage", not to praise it.

Tho our heart be in with the coffin with the homosexualists,

It must pause till it comes back to the truth.

So why did the liberal bastion of Minnesota, the HOME of the Democratic-Farmer-Labor Party suddenly turn to the Radical Right ?

At least by electing a DFLP Governor, the worst impulses by a possibly rabid Legislature might be kept in check. If the Legislature isn't going to do the right thing in recognizing the state's Lesbian and Gay citizens as equals, there is always the Courts. Besides, it is only fitting that the Court responsible for the biggest roadblock to equality for same sex couples be the one to tear it down...

Fortunately there is still the Twin Cities...hopefully the conservatives (i.e. homophobes) don't try to shut that down. I always looked towards Minnesota as progressive in leading the way to equality. At least we still have Iowa...blazing the trail.

Gay and Lesbian citizens have the same rights as everyone else. Most Americans still see it as deviant behavior, 200 years ago, and today as well.

Gays are just garden variety weirdos, degenerates and perverts. A little Roundup is called for.

The Republican party is profoundly rich with hypocrisy, claiming that gay marriage is somehow a threat to "traditional" (straight) marriage. What a load of rubbish.

When hypocrite anti-gay Republican politicians rail against the so-called "homosexual agenda" and talk in great detail about the deviance of gay sexual activities, do those politicians get turned on??? Do they fantasize about these activities with great detail in their minds? I tend to think so.

It seems to me that those who complain the loudest are generally the ones that somehow end up getting busted with their pants down with a member of the same gender, which is quite a GAY thing to do.

And here's a list of some examples of Republican hypocrites:

Rep. Mark Foley (R-Fl)

Sen. Larry Craig (R-Id)

Sate Sen. Roy Ashburn (R-Ca)

State Rep. Bob Allen (R-Fl)

And my personal favorite, Ted Haggard.

Self-loathing sure does run rampant in the Republican party.

Can somebody, ANYBODY, please explain and/or justify the phenomena of anti-gay Republican politicians getting caught in gay circumstances? PLEASE?

It is deviant behavior. It deviates from the norm. Marriage is a union between a man and a woman. By definition, gay marriage is impossible.

Marriage used to be the union between a man and the multiple women he bought from their fathers; later, it became the union between a man and the woman he owned. The definition of marriage has changed before, even in my lifetime, and it can change again.
Civil marriage is a contract between two consenting adults who are not blood relatives - there is NO reason to deny same sex couples the right to enter into that contract.

Remember Barney Frank? His young boytoy ran a gay prostitution ring from his house and had the weed growing operation too.

Poor barney claimed he knew nothing about it.

You gave him a ride.

You calling anyone a hypocrite is the definitive pot calling the kettle black.

In the U.S., marriage, civil or religious, CAN be legal between two consenting adults who ARE blood relatives, i.e. cousins of any degree, or other blood relationships.
