I am married to a repo man, we have 4 kids, and I cannot believe what I'm reading. It's a job. My husband does not take pleasure in taking cars away from struggling families. He does not deserve to be shot for doing a job. The banks order the repossession, it's not that you were randomly selected to have your car repossessed. It's a difficult job, a stressful job, we never get to see him. It's not a fantastic living, even though he is one of the best, but it puts food on the table and pays our bills. I have been repossessed before (many years ago), I know how it feels, but never once did I think about killing the guy who picked it up. It wasn't his fault, it was mine for filing BK and not paying my car loan. Wise up, people, be accountable. Sh!t happens, I know what it's like to fall on hard times, but it's not the repo man's fault. Maybe you should all direct this anger & energy towards coming up with a solution for your financial problems.

It is easy to say "pay your bill". Many people were able to pay at the time of the purchase. Let us say someone is late on a payment. Immediately interest will be put on the loan thus raising the money owed.
I say to all those who have not dealt with the predatory practices of Wells Fargo bank. Untill you have been there don't blame the victims.
Wells Fargo is the worst predetory lender in the subprime market. Subprime not only maked a fortune for the bank, but once they collect all they can, they take your car, write off the loan show a loss for that loan and wait for the goverment to bail them out.
WELLS FARGO IS WHAT THE WORST TYPE OF PREDATORY LENDING IS ABOUT. I have people in the Presidantial campaigns working with me now. I have also banking oversight goverment agencys working on this. Remember the collection departments record all the calls even yhough they lie and bully to get a payment you can't afford. You can record them too. I do.

You know the people we have to deal with are the issue here we are just doing our job the bank is the one that wants the collateral back and that is only because they are not paying for it so how is really the bad guy here surly not us who are paying our bills but it is always our falut we didn't make there payments!!!!!! go figure!!!!!

My husband and I own our own repo agency in Florida and I'm so sick of not getting any respect out there because I'm only 5'1 and 112lbs. If I get spit at one more time or told I'll be slapped off a debtor's property one more time I'll have a melt down!!!!!!!!!! I recently contacted our local news station and they have agreed the public should be educated.(LAW ENFORCEMENT TOO!!!!!) there are more ways to get your car. I have no problem going into court and getting a replevin for those whom think we are just some idiot that can't read or write. I don't know why it's so hard for these people to realize that if you can't afford it give it up. HEY, all you debtors out there that think you can't be found!!!! WE WILL FIND YOU! WE WILL GET WHAT WE CAME FOR AND YOU MIGHT EVEN END UP IN JAIL NEEDING BOND..........

yOU ARE SO WRONG. iF YOU CAN NO LONGER AFFORD IT GIVE IT UP!!!!! SIMPLE!!!!! WE ALL HAVE PAYMENTS TO MAKE AND IF YOU NEED TO CUT BACK ON THINGS CUT BACK BUT DOWN BLAME THE BANKS BECAUSE THE GOVERNMENT DOES NOT PAY OFF YOUR MISTAKE, JUST LIKE THE REPOSSESSOR THE BANKS HAVE TO PAY FOR INSURANCE AND BONDS TOO !!!!!

well now this will always be a heated debate and of course those shows on TLC and discovery about repo men dont help,
It Shows them all laughing and cheering like its funny and cool to profit off others misery they talk how they love the rush.

Most recovery people dont go to the door. they will wait till you go to the store or work and take the vehicle.and sneaking into someones yard at night is just askin for trouble how do we know you're not a robber hmm?

In all reality I could probably never shoot anyone unless it was a life threatening situation.

But I understand the rage and hate that cause people to do so.
with $4.00 a gallon gas and unemployment on the rise foreclosures and repos are bound to rise.

It is only going to get worse.

i was just wondering if i would be getting a notice about when they would come and get my vehicle. we are not passed the grace period yet, but soon will be. we will not be able to continue payments. my husband is ill. prescriptions were covered under the humana plan, we thought, we are in a donut hole, now instead of paying 200 per month for rx"s we pay $1000. cant afford it. our choice it to make car payments or buy medicine. Dont know where to turn right now. we have had occasional sucicidal thoughts. i need a way to get to work. we have one car with no payments that needs work. new alternator, and a few other things. well thats enough of my story. just wondering if i would get a notice, or would just walk out one day and find it missing.

Unfortunately no!!! they won't send you anotice they might try to contact you to make arrangements for payments and if they can't reach you for x reason they consider it a skip and repo your vehicle!!!!
