High school football tour: Ranking District 24-4A

We wrap up our look at Class 4A area districts with our final district, 24-4A . It's somewhat like the old 23-4A, but Dickinson has moved up to Class 5A and Dawson and Manvel join the mix.

manvel is probably the most talented school in the district, but you wouldn,t know it with all of the penalties. RB jeremy ragland has been moved to def but probably should play both ways.

manvel football is back on a winning track, however we must learn how to run the ball.their is no doubt that manvel has the best overall talent in the district right now we just have to stop the penalties.

I would agree that Manvel has talent. These boys are extremely coachable. They were set back a little due to Eric Little's injury. That forced the change to defense for J Ragland. As far as penalties go, we only have to think back to Brazosport and remember that some of the penalties against the Mavs were not warranted.

I agree we were beat by refs not brazosport football team. this team is much better that their recard. manvel will bounce back this week against lamarque after another heart breaker to friendswood.

Let's hear it for the Mavs! What a game against Freindswood.1 point! The Manvel coaching staff made all the right calls. The Maverick defense was determined to shutdown the Karam to Gautraux connection. They were succesful. On offense Foreman showed some remarkable skill against Freindswood's defense. This young Manvel team has true potential and will be fun to watch over the next couple of years.

17 points over LaMarque. Hoka Hey!!! Manvel has what it takes to make the playoffs. Strong defense and a very capable offense. These guys are ready!

Angleton going all the way..... there are alot of haters out there but we been proving thenm wrong all year and we are gonna continue to do that.

I like angletons speed on offence I think u will go far in the playoffs maybe third rd.the defence is just ok.If number 2 can make it back u guys should be okay because diggs cannot do it alone.

most of manvel's defense is leaving with a couple of spots filled in with upcoming seniors next year. i wonder what they are going to do?
manvel is in a current disaster with their offensive line. they have lost all there tackles and currently dont have any coming back from varsity.
improve the offensive line.and there's no way manvel is going to be stopped.
there guards and centers are okay.
what happen to degala? how come he wasn't on varsity? he was obviously just abusing the junior varsity teams. did he quit? what happen? i hope he didnt waste that talent and potential. that would be disappointing.

I dont know but that kid is a beast. the defense in my opinion will be better, they had to many seniors unwilling to hit. while juniors set on the sidelines,ragland,willis,diggs ,luna,mendaz,are returning starters for the defense that should make lots of noise.

the coach must be willing to play a couple of players both ways,angleton, friendwoods even 5A schools are playing some guys both ways.In my opinion that why the running game suffered.

wats up yalll im frm manvel high and its all about varsity but I got to give it to ma frashman a-squad we are district champs and undefeated. coach martin (haed coach)said we are the first undefeated team in the history of the mavs.HOKA HEY

were varsity O line this year, last year we played at the freshman level and kicked ass, the O line is coming along good, even have a freshman with us (315 pounds so he's good ,no worries) yall talking about how we might have a chance at makeing the playoffs, Im talking about how little of a chance how the other team will have at beating us at state !!!!!! Everybody ALWAYS says that the refs cost them the game. Your team should have been in that situation to let the refs beat them. You just got beat by the better team. LIVE WITH IT!!!!
