Thank you so much for posting this video. My family house and block can clearly be seen for a brief frame in your video. Gives me some idea what to expect about the damage. The town is truly, torn asunder. Very hard to truly imagine.

Thank you so much for taking time to paddle around town & make the video. It is heartbreaking to see the beautiful homes that we have loved for so many years and the wonderful area devastated. Be safe

I am watching this video from Cambridge England. My dear friends have their home on East Avenue. These are devastating pictures. Not sure I can pick out their house but every one has been damaged. My thoughts & prayers are with all the Bay head residents. I love your town and have visited it several times. It's heartbreaking but you will recover in time. May you know God's presence and enabling in the days to come.

I'm 300 miles away, if I come down there, will I be able to get around, do they have the area cordoned off. My 80 year old mom is still there and wont leave, can I bring her food? If she leaves to get food will they keep her out?

I cannot thank you enough for your work in producing this for us. My parents' house is on Lake Avenue across from the marina; please tell me if you paddled down that street, as they are out here in Indiana with me and I haven't been able to find any other word or footage.

Bless you, thank you.

Thank you for posting this incredible documentary of Hurricane Sandy;in Bay Head. It was so helpful to see the before and after. I hope you are able to shoot video today to further document the damage and current conditions. We are not able to return to our family home on Grove Street and wonder how the conditions are in that neighborhood. I hope your family is safe and sound. Our hearts and prayers are with everyone for a full recovery!

W have friends who renovated their "summer home" into a year round retirement home in Silver Beach. Hope they are safe and sound. We live in Bergen County and just had some minor inoonviences, too few to mention. Thank you for risking your own life to record this for all to see. So sad.

This is my home town. My brother is the public works supervisor of Bay Head and he and my parents still live there. I have only been able to speak to them briefly and knew it was terrible. It is so sad to see beautiful Bay Head in such ruins. Thank you for showing me the damage as it is. We need to help it rebuild.

Thank you many times over for your efforts. Not knowing anything is much worse than knowing something about the damage. So many memories in and of Bay Head, lovely people. I hope your family continues to be safe - they are so lucky to have you to come to them in what must be very frightening and stressful circumstances. If you know any details of Osborne Ave, please post them. God bless you and your family.

I used to live at the SW corner of East and Bridge avenue. My oldest son (now 18) was born when we lived there. We lived through (and stayed at the house) the storm of 1992. This looks even worse than that. I didn't think it could get worse.

I am currently in Vancouver, WA, USA.

Glad you are safe.

Thank You for being so brave to help others. My cousin has a home in Bay Head, he was not their during the storm. Your video helped to see what he will see when he can return and not be so shocked. Praying for all!
