Pro-American wrote: <quoted text> Concerning the Chick-Fil-A story, my wife watches GMA on ABC while getting ready for work. I noticed that on the previous Thur & Fri they devoted ample amount of time to the gay side of the argument. Tues & Wed rolled around and VERY little to nothing was said about the straight side. On Thur, after record attendance, record sales for one day, nothing, not a mention. Then Fri comes and they devote 3-5 mins talking about the"kiss in" and during that segment one sentence, or 10 secs, was said about Wed's records. Now we all know the liberals support the gay side of the issue and if that's not liberal bias, I don't know what is. Why should anyone report a business appreciation day? Businesses have them all the time. It is not normally news. Protests are news, and the appreciation day was not a protest. But the true fact is, GMA did report the appreciation day when it happened. Is it a three day story? No. "Straight side"? I am straight but am pro gay marriage. So I guess GMA did report the straight side. Fact is, everyone knows the side Chick fil A has taken. GMA has reported it. Everyone knows a lot of people came to the appreciation day. Because the news reported it. I hear this line on Fox news all the time. They claim,'the mainstream media did not report it', but if you ever fact check it, you will see the it did. Fox news lies, that is all their is to it. You are caught up in that theme of a lie.

I, and all others, have the right to go to Chic-Fil-A or not. I have never been there in my life, so nothing changes for me. I do not support the actions in Chicago and Boston to block new franchises. Most of the democratic liberals that I know think that way. Actually as it turned out, it was marketing genius. Gays can have a "kiss in" as they please, as long as it does not interfere with patrons entering the restaurant. Everyone has the right to protest. In reality, people need to eat more vegetables, but that is also for them to choose. I will stay at home and eat a good salad. The liberal side is they gave more than ample amount of coverage to the gay protest and little to none of the records set by support from the straight side. Had the tables been turned and the protesters were protesting a gay resturant, I'm sure GMA would've shown support for the resturant owners and little to no coverage of the protesters.

Pro-American wrote: <quoted text> You mean like when Colbert took Mike Turzia's comment out of context by implying that he meant he and the Republicans were trying to suppress the poor, black, democrat votes when I think he meant now it'll be almost impossible for someone to commit voter fraud? It's why I don't watch Fox, CNN, nor MSNBC. Colbert is not the news. The news should have higher standards than a comedy show. I do not know the story you refer to, so I cannot say. Colbert's plays a republican in a mocking way, so maybe he was doing this in irony. I have seen republicans not understand his humor in this way before. So where do you get your news?

But I am denying he is injecting it into all aspects of our lives. Democrats wish to use government to help in our lives. Republicans wish for government to restrict the personal lives of people, like in the gay marriage issue.

That is mere speculation on the reversal. I saw them interview many people supporting the Chic-Fil-A position on all the major networks. None of these people were denied their reasons for support. Too bad the Chic-Fil-A story in the 'liberal media' did not develop like the "Fair and Balanced" account on Fox.

On the local news, I agree, yes they did. On GMA, to which I consider to be more balanced than the other two network's (CBS & NBC) morning shows, they didn't. You ask for an example and I provided one. And yes, ABC is a liberal leaning network.

The conservative critcism of the 'liberal media' seems to be based more on individual perseption rather than actual fact. Nothing really factual in this post, just an opinion. Show me something the left wing media SAID that was liberally orriented toward conservatives.
