Have You Had Enough Yet ???

Ask yourself : Have you had enough of the special interests which

control Washington not helping the middle class working people.

Look at our Congressman’s voting record for the past few years:

Rep. Peterson votes with President Bush 93 % of the time

Rep. Peterson voted against cracking down on oil and gas companies for price gouging.

Big Oil and gas have given him $ 80,932 Any surprise??

Rep. Peterson voted to strip overtime protection from millions of workers.

Rep. Peterson voted for the GOP Medicare Part D that gives billions

of dollars to drug and insurance companies. Of course he has accepted

over $ 20,000 in contributions from them.

Rep. Peterson voted to continue to award contracts to Halliburton even after audits

showed that more than 100 million of costs were unreasonable. Where is the oversight?

Rep. Peterson voted for a massive sell-off of public lands to mining interests.

While tuition costs continue to climb. Rep. Peterson voted to cut Federal Student

Aid by 12.7 billion– the largest cut in history.

Rep. Peterson voted against expanding Federal funding for stem cell research

voting against helping those patients with debilitating diseases.

What you can expect from Don Hilliard

I support fixing social security: Strengthen the Social Security Trust Fund. Privatizing Social Security is not a viable solution. It will cut benefits and add to the already growing national deficit. Privatizing is just another sell-off to the Wall Street Special interests.

I support a single payer health care system: Administered by physicians. The savings in administrative costs alone would help to cover uninsured Americans. I am willing to take on the insurance companies who are more interested in profits rather than people. Then again I don’t take their money so I can fight them.

I support dealing with the budget deficits: I want to restore fiscal accountability and end deficit spending. Currently our government is spending more than it is collecting I want to return to a pay as you go type of system that we had in the 1990’s. We cannot continue to borrow money from foreign governments and expect to remain independent.

I support our Veterans and their families, those who have served and sacrificed for our country, expect the government to honor its commitments to them. I do not believe there should be a needs test to receive benefits. I have discovered that our Veterans wait way too long to receive treatment in VA Hospitals, This is unacceptable. We must fully fund the VA hospitals. If our government cannot keep their promises to our Veterans how can we believe anything the government says.

If you want to continue to see more of the same out of Washington. Where the special interests

continue to control more and more of what happens, where there seems there is a new scandal of

one type or another week after week then by all means vote for Rep. Peterson because:

If you continue to do what you have always done…

you will continue to get what you have always gotten..

But , If you agree that we can do better

then please help us change things in Washington.
