I don't think that it was the drivers fault. She should of had a reflecter or flashlight or something to let the traffic know she was there. It was quit dark and i can see how it would have been hard to see the lady and her horse, How ever i do think the driver should get some punishment for leaving the site.

This took place after the time change and should not have been dark at all

This seems to be getting swept under the rug.
I really hope they actually arrest whoever is responsible. Instead of just a slap on the wrist.

no matter if it was dark or not, this driver struck and killed someon and fled the scene..find him and put him away for a very long time...remember someone is dead here and to run from the scene makes matters soo much worse than if he would have stopped..guilty

There is some controversy around our own Judge John Mott, running for retention. Allegedly 20 years ago he was fish tailing up a slippery road and clipped a horse. The horse survived and no charges were made but the State police were called and gave the father of the girl whose horse was hit the name of the car owner by the license plate. You can read both sides of the story in the Daily Review in Towanda. But the fact remains that all occupants in a vehicle or vehicles traveling in a pack should be responsible for calling 911 and getting help for any hit and run victim. I want to call this Steven's Law in honor of Steven Bacon of Gillett, pa please ask your elected leaders to do this.

I think maybe you should come to Bloss and see where it happened... ummm.. does a MAIN street sound familiar! Umm... yeah that is wher it happened.... so there are lights everywhere!
Maybe he shouldn't have been drunk and would of seen her! I mean he did say he thought he only hit the curb when he hit a HORSE!
