She looks healthy. Why would she want to be buried?

This unfortunately can't happen. The cemetary is for vets only...not families. This would open the door for entire families to be buried in those cemetaries and they would lose their focus and uniqueness. I agree with you waht she needs to do...buy plots in another cemetary.

That being said, I'm a vet, and I don't care who buries me or where they bury me. Dead is dead.

I feel a great pain for this mother. It should be made a law to exempt and forbid soldiers who are only sons or daughters of a family in being deployed to a war zone. Neither should all brothers or daughters belonging to a single family be deployed together in a war zone to prevent families in being wiped out.

i'm sick and tired of all the faux patriotic bullshit coming out. corey shea died for big defense corporations, not for americans' ''freedoms.'' any idiot would see we have LESS freedoms than we had ten years ago. if she was a good mother she would have told her son not to serve in the u.s. colonial army. this mother should give up her useless theatrics and go do something useful. when you send occupation troops to foreign countries where THEY'RE NOT WANTED they sometimes get killed. we were told if we gave up our civil liberties and inveded iraq and afghanistan and iraq terrorists wouldn't come here but obviously that's not true. get a life lady and forget your dead son.

That would be just about as dumbass as allowing the unreliable, undeployable single mothers to serve. What good is a soldier that can't be deployed and can't fight?????

A congressmen could make an exception. Teddy Kennedy has no business being there, his brother yes. Has she though about being cremated and her ashes being spread there. My sympathy goes to her.

Teddy Kennedy should have been tried for murder, convicted, and executed. The victim's family should have sued and taken the Kennedy family fortune.

There are rules that have to be abided by, and one is only the Veteran and his current wife can be buried in a National cemetary. Not mommies, or daddies, or siblings, wives.

If a wife can be buried with her husband then, since the boy was not merried, she should be buried with him! I also met this Veitnam Vet at Abraham Lincoln Cemetery, in Illinois; that had his son buried before he was since his son died before him. I would like to be buried with my father and mother. To do this, I would have to get written permission from my Brothers, if one objects, then it can not be done. I have three brothers.

Tedd Kennedy did serve in the Armed Forces. And all the lady has to do is see the head adminstrator. If he has a half a brain he will grant her, her wish.

As I understand it, he was the only name sake. He did not have to go to combat or serve at all, being her only boy. But none the less he went like a man and payed the ultimate price a lot of others take for granted. My father said, that alot of the men that he seen die in WWII, called out for their mothers, their wives, or kids, but mostly he heard them call out for their mothers. I would assume his mother was last on is mind at the time of his death. And a mother love is everlasting; I find it only right that they should be buried to gether. My God grant them both of their wishes.
