This was just awful. Tonight there were such crowds at the wake. Unbelievable. More unbelievable were those people who were paying their "respects" when they have continually bashed Keith all over the community for the past two years. Heard a few of them showed up last night as well. Seems more like they were paying their "disrespects". Incredible phonies, they are! I won't mention any names, but I have heard them making their negative remarks in public places. They know who they are and they should be ashamed because Keith's family and friends know who they are as well.

As we all know, there are some people in this community who have no shame, morals or class. How disrespectful, to bad mouth Mr. Romaine and then have the nerve to show up at his wake. They should be ashamed of themselves. Low lifes.

Did you see the letter to the editor by Dibona? He HATED Keith Romaine. What the heck was that about? He was at the MBPOA on Election Night talking all this crap about Keith with that other woman from his board. If would almost be funny except for the fact that its TERRIBLE!

Even worse is that Delia McKernan, who hated Keith also, is having a moment of silence for him before she does a tree lighting ceremony that will get about 15 people at. The disrespect by these people is disgusting. I shake my head and wonder how they sleep at night or look themselves in the mirror.Just proves more and more at the fact that these people have no morals. They will stopp lower and lower to self promote themselves at the cost of others feeling's and they just dont care.

I honesly don't think it matters what people felt about Keith Romaine and his politics and whether or not people "bad mouthed" him. It is the proper thing to do to show respect for his office and him, so even if you disagreed with him he should be honored by everyone.
At this time of mourning, let's not make everything into a battle.

You are so right. It doesn't matter what you thought or said about Keith when he was alive. The fact is that was a tragedy that has shocked everyone and I think it is absolutely correct for groups to pay tribute to him. Don't try to make more of it than it is.

knowing this group, their tribute and moment of silence is just their way of trying to get people to show up. they don't do anything unless it will benefit them in some way - their actions over the last couple of years proves that. if anyone else was doing it, i'd be there in a heartbeat to show my respects and so would many others. they've never shown a lick of respect for anyone before, why now?

Obviously from the other camp ... and these posts reveal the true black vile in their hearts. Each camp should shut up and go about their respective tasks to incorporate. If they spent half the energy on the organizational tasks they spend on this vitriole - we would be incorporated already.

Delia , who wants to work with a liar. Who wants to work with anyone who deceives this community. You already admitted at your meeting you dont live here and cant make any real decisions. Then whats your motivation? We know.... Its not good. You will sell this community away for YOU. YOU already gave away 365 houses in the Shirley community to Mastic Beaches Village because YOU hate Betty M. Gave away streets because she lived there. Unfortantly, the SPVEC did not exist earlier or that injustice would have never happened.. There is no kissing and making up. You destroy everything in your path. No one has to make up with you, you dont matter since you dont live here. Go back to mastic where you live according to Brookhaven town and make them a village. Im sure no one would oppose you working on a Vilage you actually live in. Keep mentioning you own a property in Wooodlad estates. The same property Brookhaven town had to FORCE you to clean up since it was a dump. Last minute cleanup that almost cost us, the taxpayer since you think your above everyone and didnt think you should have to clean it.

These posts are not coming from Delia. They use "big" words and you all know she is a moron. Look where there are coming from-Manorville. Who lives in Manorville and thinks Delia is the next coming of Christ? That is right, Tom Schiliro. Why is it that any time anyone post's something negative in here about Delia, we get blamed for it? There are many people in this community who distrust and/or dislike her. PLEASE STOP assuming that all negative posts come from us - we are too busy living our lives; raising our families, working and working on the village effort to participate in this nonsense.

The problem here is that, yes, Keith Romaine's death is a tragedy - and should a group want to pay tribute to him with love or respect, that is a lovely sentiment. But let's look at the truth here. They are not sincere in this tribute. Anyone who has spoken to them KNOWS how their group really felt about Keith Romaine. So it is obvious to everyone they are simply trying to use his death to bring people to their Christmas tree lighting. Or worse, if what you say is correct, and one of these posters was Tom Schiliro, could they be trying to politicize this because they want Mr. Schiliro to run for Mr.Romaine's council seat now? I truly do not know which is a worse motive but I, for one, do not believe they are holding a tribute out of any real goodness. That his not who these people are, especially when it came to Keith Romaine. And it is truly heartless to exploit his untimely death in this way.

The people of that group, the SPBPOA all supported Shiliro until he lost badly , then all supported Lupski. All they care about is themselves and what they can get out of people. One good thing Keith did know was about their agendas. He knew they were bad for our community. They hated him for it. This community lost a good guy fighting for it and disgusts me that these people use his death toget unknowing people to their lighting. Stay in Mastic where you belong, light a tree there

You're absolutely correct. Throw down your gloves, EVERYONE, and give Keith the respect he deserves.

Forget about what others say and do - this is childish, and everyone here not saying offering condolences for Keith and his family is doing a dis-service to him.
