Took a child to school, while I was shock that there was no one controling the traffic. And there was almost a vechile wreck. I hope they get them back before someone ends up killed there this year. They had them telling kids where to park there vechiles, that wasnt more importent the main road needs the help.

I think it is great that there is no one on the road directing traffic. Everything went fine. Actually better than when there was someone there directing the traffic and causing a REAL MESS. The BOE finally wisened up and are not wasting their money on the joker. Maybe they can now afford to hire more teachers so the classes won,t be overloaded and the children will have more attention!!! Thanks BOE!

I travel through there every morning and the traffic can be a pain with Sheldon (although I think he is well meaning). What they need are flashing school zone lights. When on slow down when off travel normal.

Leave Sheldon alone. He does a GREAT JOB and for most of us he has done a wonderful job. There had been alot of times if it werent for Sheldon one of OUR kids who drive to NMHS would of been in a accident, more than once has he been there to stop the accident

KIds should ride the bus they drive better car than I do.We don't need Sheldon standing in the middle of the road. It would be ok to stop traffic to let the bus out.

the children need to be responsible for their education. you can only do so much with students who don't care and won't try. you are wrong about the math department, they are a WONDERFUL educators!-- the kids who want to learn really do learn so much!

I have first hand experience about the dangers of the intersection at North Marion. My son started his freshman year there and we lived directly across the road from the driveway. Traffic in the morning was terrible with all the commuters and many school buses...hard to see if it was clear enough to cross the all lanes of traffic. My son checked both ways, stepped out in street and before he got midway, was struck by a van. He was knocked down and scrapped up but escaped with very little phyical injury. THIS WAS BEFORE SHELDON WAS DIRECTING TRAFFIC!! NMHS had no idea kids were crossing the street there. The caution light was burnt out, there were no crosswalks painted on the road. My son was one of several who crossed that danger zone twice a day so I'm glad Sheldon is there and I applaud him for doing his duty, a life-saving duty, in the rain, fog, snow and heat. He's worth every penny and you all shouldn't be griping about it...just slow down and pay attention and you'll make his job and your commute much easier! Didn't mean to go off on this but it's a very touchy subject for me. Thank God my son wasn't injured badlly and thank God for Sheldon Tebnnant.

Eat sh*t Asshamed. Nobody from NM cares what the people from Morgantown think of them. And if I'm not mistaken the NM students received more Promise scholarships than the other schools in Marion County. Those stupid tests, like the Westest, that they give to the students are a joke. Half of the students don't even try on them.

i believe sheldon should stay on school property not in middle of road .it is very annoying when your stopped because he sees a car moving up by the school.as far as helping bus traffic not true. once one bus srarts out the rest follow thru most commuters stop and wait.

I'm really shocked that people are more concerned about having to stop and wait in traffic a few minutes then the safety of our children! Sheldon never holds up traffic for very long. He understands that people are on their way to work but for heaven's sake.....wouldn't you rather be 2 minutes behind schedule than hours late because you hit a child crossing the street to go to school???? Think about this...not just the fact that you're gonna be late, but the guilt you will feel and the possibility that your car insurance will increase...the damage possibly caused to your vehicle. If you're in that big of a hurry...maybe you should leave sooner. I'm SO glad we don't live there anymore and have to put up with this whining. I'm not trying to be rude, but this subject is touchy for me because I was simply blessed by God that my son was not seriously injured.

Traffic always gets worse and worse every year. Fairmont is going to be a mad house this year when College starts and Morgantown is going to be 10 times worse.
