My biggest concern at this point is getting the residents of manningtons help because I know I'm not the only one that has seen or witnessed these actions

Lol...and what do u want the "residents" to do? Its not the young Officers faults, they lack leadership. You want a police dept. to change policy, and/or behavior? You start at the top. Unfortunately Manningtons problem IS at the top.

If the officer was in a county car, I would contact the county sheriff. I believe the cars have numbers on them, see what the number is and again, report it to the county sheriff. I do not believe the city can do anything to a county officer.

The bad part of contacting the county is that this officers father is a county cop .. Everytime I see this young officer he is hanging out with his buddies on many occasions I've witnessed his buddies doing burn outs, flying through town etc all while he is setting right there watching now you let myself or some one not in that click to that shit and we would have a million dollar ticket ... I'm not posting on here to sound like a bitchy person but I just feel if were going to have law inforcement then it should be good inforcement in stead of hanging out with your buddies catch the ones selling drugs on the streets catch the ones drinking and driving ... The problem is we have boys trying to do a mans job

I would report it to the Sheriff, unless the Sheriff happens to be this officer's father. The Sheriff can't fix what he doesn't know.

I've said it before and I'll say it again! If you don't like our Police, the Sheriff or anyone or anything else in Mannington, then LEAVE! I've lived here 4 years and absolutely love this little town and the powers that be. The people complaining here need to get a life. They have nothing better to do than throw their dirt!

I have read all the posts and I do not believe that anyone here said that they did not like living in Mannington, quite the opposite, if they didn't like it there, they would not care. As for leadership, what about the elders in this officers life? Living 4 years ini Mannington, really, that is nothing compare to most who have lived there entire lives there.

The first thing you need to do is to take your complaints to David James, the chief of police, if that does not help then get off your lazy butts and go to a city meeting to complain, not on this silly topix page, that is the only way to get things done. I understand that many people do not like our mayor or D. James but if you want things done correctly that is how it needs to be done.

They are great! It's time about time we have cops that don't know everyone they pull over and let them get away with whatever it is they are doing. Some of the new cops are more stuffy than others but that doesn't mean either aren't doing their jobs. If you have a SERIOUS issue with an officer then report it as deems necessary, but don't make complaints over pettiness. They are trying to make a living as well as most of us. And don't forget that they put their lives in danger everyday trying to protect and serve.

Just don't leave your vehicle parked for too long...or they will have it towed....even when it is on your own private property !

If you dont cause any problems they can all be "cool", if you do then they can all be A-holes. Any more questions?

If you are causing problems, then I would say they are probably just doing their jobs!
