If I got it right and I believe I do, Greene is going against Jim Demint.... Figure the odds with what is happening of him standing a chance in heck of winning the Senate seat.

You or someone can say noone figured he would win the Demacratic primary. But would he if everyone new of his charges before the vote.

I saw a recent news interview video and he may not be a nut like most Dems but he appears to be rather mentally challenged like most Dems. What a laugh the rest of the world must be getting from SC.

My guess is he was a plant even though he says he was a life long Democrat.

He was unemployed and had to pay a 10k fee to enter the Senate Race. Then he only spent 5K campaigning.

How does someone like this win when he has a background like charges pending. No campaigning and still beating out a long time incumbant who was spending money in his campaign.

I suppose some could be like Senator Ford Stated that Racial politics could be involved. His name was first on the ballot, his name Greene was spelled with an e at the end and only blacks spelling the name Green as Greene. That the Democratic party being majority black voters might have carried over.

But my feelings towards a plant is someone who is unemployed coming up with ten thousand of his money to enter the campaign.

That would make sense Tony... We have elected a senator in Strom Thurmond who was to senile and capable of standing on his own feet. Just for the reason the state didn't want to lose the senior Senator.

Marion Berry of Washington DC was busted for Cocaine and managed to get reelected.

Why not have some expert in pornography aimed at a young college girl, and elect him to office as well. Should fit in well.

Personally I don't think any one running Democratic here was going to win either way. That is the one thing that throws me off as a plant by the republicans. They were going to win this either way going against Demint. But I guess they could take all speculation out of it.

South Carolina is looking like a bunch of stupid imbeciles.

First Joe Wilson jumps up and calls the President a liar. Well love the truth but it comes out as a negative politic shot.

Secondly there is the flap of Governor Sanfords affair with the South American sweetheart. Negative jokes on nightly talk shows.

Then you have the Senator that called Obama and Haley ragheads.

Plus the national exposure of two affairs by Nikki Haley in dirty south Carolina politics.

Now you have Greene who looks to be a plant making the talk show joke shop. I seen a national news interview with him last night. Green sounded like he had a 2nd grade education. Asked where he got his gas money... He said I am still collecting on my unemployment... Asked about the porn charges... He looks stupid for fifteen or twenty seconds. I don't want to talk about that. WHere did you get the 10k... I saved it up my last two years in the army.. I keep thinking if I am unemployed am I going to blow my life savings running for office which more than likely would take a miricle to win.

Jay Leno says -Greene was kicked out of the army,
_Greene was unemployed
- Being charged with porn towards a
young teen age girl

Leno sounds like he is qualified to be a Senator.

I guess you could throw in this state voting in a Senator in Strom Thurmond who at 96 years old or older was so senile he couldn't think on his own nor stand up with out help. Just because he was the oldest, senior Senator.

Boy do we look like a state that is progressing towards brilliance.

Even if someone slipped him the money on the sly the voters still elected him. This plant business is BS. Did they go out and pay 100,000 voters too? He probably won't win but if he did so what? How could he be any worse than the rest of the democrats? It is said that his mind is a little slow. Maybe that will make him want to understand what he is voting and read the damn bills for a change.

Hes not unemployed anymore he has a running for the senate and I wish him luck. As for him being a so called plant that is totally crazy. As for his win because he is black, there are no pictures on the election ballots, he never campaigned or was on TV. The dems are grasping at straws. They are insulting the voters of SC. If they were smart they would have played the black, underdog card and surported Mr. Green. Instead you got to see the snobery of the dems.

There is still something fishy here. It will not matter as anyone running against Demint will not win. It's just a story until that point. Senator Ford said that Racial politics may have played some roll in this. He spelled his name Greene with an e at the end and only black people spell Green that way. The democratic party being majority black probably voted for this reason. Plus they said in some cases with Greenes name listed first on the ballot may have gotten some of the votes. Dumb reason but not all voters are inteligent voters.

But no way should a soldier discharged early from the army, unemployed, sounding less than that of being inteligent, I am taking it the porn charges didn't apply yet at this time. No way he should have won election. It makes me wonder if something went awry with the voting process although I do not want to believe that. Losing to a guy who actually went out and campaigned where Greene didnt put any effort into this election at all. Going against a guy with background.

Yes he won, but something does smell fishy in south carolina.

In my opinion, the world needs many, many more Wilsons who are not scared of the establishment and have the guts to speak their mind.

Personally I wouldn't mind us voting every incumbant in office out. It would take I believe six years to get a clean slate in there. We might lose some good Senators and Congressman. But maybe the people in office would get the point of you work for us. Listen to what we want or we will get rid of you too. It won't happen.

I agree they with someone I believe it was on another post. We need to get rid of Clyburn to. But that isn't going to happen either.

This story has caused me untold amusement.
.
Nothing funnier than the Democrats all asking "Alvin, who?"
.
Any wonder we have the current President and Congress we do?
