There are 4 people on the ballot Tuesday for 3 open trustee seats. All 3 incumbents are running plus a newcomer.

But there are 3 new write-in options: Bob Bennett, Tom Fazzio, and Mike Heneka. We want you to write out names in when you vote on Tuesday at the Village Center.

We have been witness to constant disrespect by our current board. Lack of planning, withholding information, failure to communicate, retracting promises; that is what the 4 ballot candidates offer our community.

As members of the fire department, Bob Bennett, Tom Fazzio, and Mike Heneka have seen that damage a board such as our can inflict on its residents. We want to put an end to business as usual. It is time for our board to support the critical services.

On Tuesday, write-in your concerned, involved neighbors:
Bob Bennett
Tom Fazzio
Mike Heneka

I am new to New York and just moved to Manlius. Why do we have a village government anyway? Isn't it mostly a redundancy of what the Town government does?

Yes, no need for "village: gov at all. And by the way, how long has that heneka guy even lIVED in manlius? I think only a few months. where will he live 3 months from now? I find it hard to believe that some guy has the nerve to move into manlius and run for ANY position in local gov. what is he qualified to do?

Just want you to reflect on Hillary Clinton. She ran for US Senate after living in New York for how long?

I cannot give you a good answer other than: that's the way it has always been. No one want to be the politician who killed the village. Well guess what people? It already happened.

A village government certainly made sense when it was geographically isolated 200 years ago. I think people are finding these small governments no longer provide unique services.

I hope you keep asking your question. Ask your neighbors and local elected representatives.
