Many, many students today have no "scruples" /
no boundaries / no sexual morals
It is truely amazing how perverted many of our young
people are today. While hedonism has always been a charactoristic of young people; today many youth seem to glory in it. While I'm sure this terrible trend began many years ago, my observation is that it really took off in the Late 1990's.
I'll never forget (though I wish I could!) a dance
I chaparoneda few years back. There was a popular song out with the refrain "Who let the dogs out?!
wuff, wuff, wuff!" (remember that one?) The kids were on the dance floor shouting that out with the song - and quess what sexual activity they were
"simulating" while dancing to this song?... thats
all I'll say - sorry to even bring this image into
your head! We as teachers were amazed and saddened
about how low and sexually immoral these kids had sank. And as I said, its getting worse.

Well this is all our children see in the media. Every generation seems to be pushing the envelope further than the one before. The morals should start at the home. I do think that canceling a dance due to what might happen is a bit extreme. You let the kids know up front that if there is any inappropriate behavior or dancing then they will be removed immediately and their parents called to pick them up and you can even include the threat of suspension sense it is a school function.

The parents and other adults are hypocrits. They are the same people who were hippies, "free loving," "turning on and tuning out," "bra burners," etc...

How many of these "moral" parents and adults: lived with people they weren't married to as if they were married, had relationships that were as intimate as a married relationship with people they weren't married to, got pregnant before they got married("shotgun weddings")?

So these parents and adults need to sit down have a cup of starbucks, read their newspapers, and relax. I'm sure there are more pressing issues, which need their attention.

You narrow-minded arse. The look is extremely sexual, but the intent is not. You don't see people grind and then go off somewhere and have sex. As soon as the music stops, the grinding stops. End of story.

And by the way, I agree with "Missy" ... grinding today is viewed just like the jitterbug was in the 80s. Screw off, adults, you did the same thing we are now, you hypocritical bastards.

Granted, of course, the jitterbug wasn't "sexually explicit," but to put things into perspective, rock was considered sinful.

Yeah I totaly agree with Pseudonym, I mean it seriously does stop, I as just a dance the other night, I will admit it was pretty sexual, but the thing is people are okay with it because they expect it, and plus the only nudity was that some creepy guy took off his shirt (many girls got him to put it back on) SO TAKE A CHILL PILL AND RELAX A LITTLE. Just 'cause you're adults doesn't mean you can pretend that you are like the perfection of everything, and that you never did it when you were a kid...fuck off.

kids today may grind but elvis was the one who came up with the basic movments and every one loved him and its not all that we think is "oh i want to get into there pants" me for one i think sex is a sacred thing not to be given away unless i love the person not to my dance partner.

(I tried to post this before but I think it blocked it because of profanity so I'll take it out and just add the number one swear word starting with an "F" where ever it could possibly fit)

If all you adults (*cough*petifiles*cough cough*) feel so strongly about this then you go get a dumb little group and go to every dance, everywhere and beat the shit out of kids that are "grinding" (such an old man's term), oooooorrrrrrrr YOU CAN SHUT THE F**K UP!
