JFK Prep seniors of 1975. I am currently working on the biography of Marty Crowe the football and basketball coach at JFK. I have interviewed Mickey Crowe, Terry Crowe, John Woleske, Larry Whittier, Lisa Corry (my cousin) Jim Stadtmueller, Fr. Herb Wadaga, and others. Didn't you also have a classmate with the last name of Kramer from the Appleton area?
If anyone would like to talk about those JFK Prep years--not only sports--but the campus atmosphere, contact me at [email protected]

Nancy,

Just accepted the head coaching job (football) at Mayville, HS/WI......was at UW-Whitewater this past 2008 season ....many stops on the coaching carousel. Anyway, Nancy the last time i saw you was at the ceremony to honor the passing of our good friend.....Ingrid. I was just up at her resting place this past week...on the banks of the Wolf River in Keshena.....very peaceful & serene....I had a good visit......she is right next to Regina's home on Fairgrounds Rd. on the res......it was all good.

Have a very extraordinary day.

As always,

I graduated in '72 and remember both Steven and Neil well.....and have seen Bruce Clanton but not for a long time.......he is still in Racine.
The last I heard, Father Neil Durham was in Milwaukee. The JFK Prep Facebook is pretty good. I reconnected with several classmates there.

Barb,
Just accepted the Head Coaching position for football at Mayville, WI......I have been on the coaching carousel for 20+ years on the collegiate level......it was rewarding...but close to 20+ moves.....it is time to get some roots...have nieces & nephews in the state.....cabin in Northern Wisco (haven't had much time there)...it is close to Ingrid's resting place.....think of her often...an extraordinary woman....how are you...and the last I knew your sister Nancy was either in Cedarburg or Grafton...right?
Have a pleasant and somewhat productive day in Chi-town....I have a great many good memories of that metro area when I worked a private college (Elmhurst) for a couple of years before heading off to Indiana University.
As always,
John Woleske

My Brother Was Steven Reichgeld...
He was the Art Director.
IS this the Steven Reichgeld who was a monk then became my 7th grade art/social studies teacher at Saint Vincent de Paul? And he loved the Beatles?
If so, BEST TEACHER I EVER HAD!!!!!!!
he inspired me and changed my life. An excellent artist too.

Well, I am glad to know someone out there remembers!
After I left SVdeP, I didnt hear much about him. I would like to know all I can about him and his life. He really truly changed my life and opened my eyes to a lot of cool ideas. He was light years ahead of his time and insisted on teaching who he called "young adults" an alternative curriculum. I learned about Impressionism, Pyramids, Koyaanisquatsi,John Lennon, Piet Mondrian, the salem witch hunt!!! And we were 13 years old!
I actually remember some of his art and I would do just about anything to have on of his solar system paintings. Thanks, Steve Reichgeld. Much love.

Been thinking about Mr. Reichgeld for quite some time. Robin, I am wondering if your brother is the same Mr. Reichgeld that was my 8th grade teacher at Cathedral Intermediate in San Francisco back in the early 80's.

please advise,

Glenn

Robin,
I believe I was a classmate of Glenn's at Cathedral Intermediate in San Francisco, and Steven was my 8th grade teacher as well. As everyone before me has written, he was a wonderful teacher and made a huge impact in my life. I've been thinking about him a lot lately, and stumbled across this forum in my search. Your last post was some time ago, but I would love it if you would contact me whenever you might get this.
Thanks,
Anna

I attended salvatorian seminary with Steve Reichgeld as well as Washington high school. We were like best friends and fellow Beatlemaniacs but I lost touch after I moved to Michigan for college. I remember your folks place on Roosevelt Blvd where we painted the walls of his room in all manner of psychedelia. I hope he has'nt passed. I've been living in Madison, Wi for some time now and would like to hear about some of the life of my good friend(George)
