The problem now is Matthew's career is in jeopardy, regardless of his experience or competence as a teacher.

Plus, he will be viewed with suspicion for a long time, even if he pinned the paperwork exonerating him, signed by the judge himself, on the front of his shirt.

The problem was three fold for this poor guy. One the wife she had it out for him. Two the Detective wanted an arrest w/out investigating HIS side, third it moved on to the real problem...the DA. They are all mind readers there at the DA's office and that ADA is not experienced and was out lawyered by his fine attorney. DA's want plea's regardless of the truth. It is like a baseball players batting average for DA's.....all political. 95% of all criminal cases plea it out and innocent people are exhausted physically and mentally drained and give in. People lie and file false reports also BUT the DA will ignore these criminals. This guy will get his back pay and should get his job back for his carrer/resume. Then look for another job outside a very twisted county.

I don't understand, once he overheard the girls saying they were going to get dressed, why didn't he knock on the door and get the camera then. It doesn't make much sense. As a man he should know how sensitive people are to sexual abuse - we hear it in the news all the time. He should've just went in as soon as he heard that and told them what he was going to do - it would've been nipped in the bud right then. If I was the mother that found the tape, I would be outraged - you can't take that stuff lightly. And even though he's been aquitted of all charges, he is going to live with the stigma. My girls wouldn't be going over his house - sorry! Would never take that chance.

I totally agree, and she should have to pay the county back for the courtcase, and his lawyer's fees. I hope he sues her.

He's obviously not the smartest guy around, and probbly should not be a teacher, but he should definatly sue the exwife bitch for keeping the tape, then setting him up. If she was so rightious, why din't she destroy it right away, or turn him in when it happened. answer, because she's a canaving bi7ch

"One of the girls on the videotape said afterward that she was disappointed in the verdict."

Why was the girl disappointed in the verdict. She made the decision to take her clothes off. What did she have against this guy? There has to be more to this story for these people to destroy a man's life. These aren't small accusations. This will stick with him for years to come.

He IS guilty of being incredibly stupid, a hidden camera in a bedroom??? He could jump out and scare them in the kitchen if he wanted to play a prank. And after it went wrong he first action should have been to set that tape on fire, not let the ex hide it. With that being said, hope he can get his life back togehter.

I am okay with the not guilty verdict however I am not okay with someone who was dumb enough to do teaching. His judgement is too suspect to be a teacher.

Why would someone keep the tape 6 years. Just fear alone of something being construed as inappropriate, should have caused him to delete it immediately.

Sounds like the ex-wife got to it almost right away and held on to it.

If he was hoping to catch himself jumping out of a box --- why was the tape runnning when he wasn't even in the room?

Not guilty does not mean innocent. It just means there was not enough evidence to convict.

You people buy this BS? If he knew the tape had recorded the girls undressing, why didn't he destroy the tape right away. I would have shredded that thing at the first opportunity. And how did his wife know about it and come in possession of it.

I find it very unusual that the wife had the tape for 6 years before she turned it over to the police. If I found my husband in possession of such a tape I would either turn it over right away (if I really thought he was in to kiddie porn) or destroy it (if it really was an accident).

What kind of person do you have to be to keep it for 6 years bore turning it over to the police? It shows you she had no interest in protecting the "poor children." She only did it to make his life miserable not that they were getting a divorce.

Why were the girls UNDRESSED at his house to begin with?
