If Doyle were a lunch meat, he'd be bologna:

If Borgo was a cheese, he'd be the stinky variety.

You know, sometines you just have to go out to eat because everything in the house is nothing but a crappy sandwich.

I'm dining out this election. I heard this Mike guy is having a barbeque.

Maybe this Mike should have run for the Board two years ago for trustee. Got some experiance. Would like to meet him before voting. It's a large responsibility being Mayor.

I will retain my seat as mayor. And when I find out who you are (I have connections at the post) I will ensure your roads are plowed last next year.

You are so clueless. There is so much influence from the following:
A. the Village law firm
B. Marion Gibson
C. Larry Walsh
D. Jimmmy Walsh
E. the Village of New lenox
Get the picture? The Mayor of Manhattan is a paltry sixth in line. Upon any event or potential event all of the above must be made apprised of the matter. Then by concensus of the five Manhattan gets to move on the proposal. It is exactly how the Chief of police was selected. The Village Board was given four candidates to select from which beforehand was framed up by most of the first five. This is handled this way so Manhattan doesn't shoot itself in the foot. Which during the Doyle years it was most prone to do. Voting for this Mike fellow is a pretty safe bet. He will have a lot of safety nets .

Look at it this way. The Village Board is a football team with Borgo at quarterback. He does not call the plays, they are sent in from the sidelines. That's where the real management staff stands - on the sidelines. In the end, the Board is the fluffy picture that convinces the twonspeople that this is a good thing and the way to proceed with the game. The best job to have during the game: beertender. This town likes it's taverns.

That's the thing about the law. It is implemented by humans who sometimes do not use discretion wisely.

I'd bet there is plenty of room in the back of the mayor's Cadillac SUV.

Billy the wimp and his Cadillac coffin
do, do, dah, dah, do do
Rides around in the finest style,
do, do, dah, dah, do do
Bills the taxpayers by the mile,
do, do, dah, dah, do do
Everything he touches will cost you twice,
do, do, dah, dah, do do
The way he runs the town just ain't nice.
do, do, dah, dah, do do
Billy the wimp got you in his vise,
do, do, dah, dah, do do
And his Cadillac is the brightest white,
do, do, dah, dah, do do
For everything he does he gets a slice,
do, do, dah, dah, do do
The way he runs the show just ain't nice
do, do, dah, dah, do do
Billy the wimp and his Cadillac style.

better hope none of those dumb asses from the HOA don't try and run for mayor. The way they screw the home owners would not be good for the town
