Manhattan has the worst post office in the country. I'm just curious, is it a requirement to have no personality to work at our post office.

I would have to disagree with you. I have never had a problem with any postal employees in Manhattan. And no, I do not work there. Christy that works in there is the best. I have lived out here 15 years and have never had a piece of mis-directed mail. Ever think it could be you? How do you treat them when you walk in there?

See I have lived in 4 different towns in my life and you get that anywhere. These people are out to get the post office employees and I don't know why. How bad can they be? How often do you need to go in there to have that bad of an experience?

I live in Crest Hill, mis-directed mail is an everyday thing. Circle the address or highlight it, Put it back in the box, no biggie. They do a good job, give them a brake.

I put a card in our mail box last year at Christmas time, put the flag up and they refused to take it. Why? Because they didn't bother looking past the name to the address! It was to family of ours with the same last name, but they lived in Chicago. 3 days I left it out, and 3 days it sat. Isn't it post office 101 to look at the ADDRESS or ZIP CODE, not the name?! The office is not all that friendly, but that I can deal with. Mokena is worse!

Parking situation. I see that their employees are using parking spaces that should be for customers.
One employee is using the front space two over from the handicap space. Customers come first, employees should park in back or on the other side. These spots should be open to the elderly or who needs to park close, not employees.

There was talk about a new building a few years back. The location and parking is horrible. I feel sorry for the elderly and mom's with kids that try to cross 52 to get in the door. If you are turning the corner, there is always a chance of hitting a car. Maybe they could but the nearly empty building where Riverside was! Ample parking and easier access.

You think this poost office is bad, try Joliet on Mc Donough. When I lived in Joliet, we mailed our wedding invitations from the Jolet P.O. 6 out of 45 invitations were not delivered. And you want to talk about no personality, go ahead and check out the attitude in that office. Manhattan P.O. has never been a problem except pulling out of the side street...

I think that the people are nice, WHEN....they finally come out to help you. I have waited there for like 5 mins. for someone to come out and help me, but other than that small thing, I have no problems with them. And yes, someone from there does park right up front. They should have a designated place for employees to park...

I can honestly say I have never had any issues at the post office. Im usually there about twice a week. Maybe Im easy going or some people just cant get their asses kissed fast enough. Talk about something with some substance folks. Maybe like how we are going to stop the politicians spending all our money and taxing our childrens future to death. And someone is worried about the damn post office. You people should be ashamned of yourselves.

Is this all you have to worry about. Mind Your Own Business. This world has to many things going on with it and parking should not be your top priority. Come on. Grow up folks

Daily Horoscope for November 30

Cancer

The nurturing Moon continues to move through your eleventh house of friends and associates, possibly bringing a mentor into your life. There is always much wisdom that can be gained by observing the lives of others; you can avoid certain mistakes by watching them made by others. In this case, you may be faced with financial or sexual issues as Jupiter shakes things up in your eighth house of sex, money, and power... if the stakes are high, you need to think twice.
