I wonder how long it was before the police (singular) arrived? I'm not trying to start a topix riot, but rather just wondering if the mayoral cutback of a safety officer coulda helped save a life. Never know I guess.

Were there 2 cars involved in this accident or was this the red mustang that jumped the creek and flipped over on south Gougar this morning?

I believe it was just one car. Don't know about booze or drugs, heard no, but...This is in the middle of BFE so the cops might not have known about it. There is only one house near there, not sure how they were found...Still haven't heard how the girl is yet...

This is a horrible accident. My kid knows them.
There was no booze, drugs, etc, from what I understand. This is so very sad & tragic. My prayers go out to the family.

It was in Manhattan Township. That is Will County Sheriff territory.

Where this accident happened there is a bump in the road over the old RR crossing then a slight turn in the road . I can see how at night going a little to fast could throw you off.

Did the accident happen at 5 a.m. or is that when the victims were found? It's pretty isolated around there. I could see nobody discovering the accident for awhile. My kids went to school with these kids. I can't imagine as a parent losing one of the kids and almost losing the other one. Does anyone know how the sister is doing?

I have heard the sister is still in critical condition and the driver may be paralized. So very sad. My thoughts and prayers are with their families.
